[DomLuka] DD 27 (post release discussion)
pep replied to NaperVic's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
As always a great chapter, damn timezones. I see there are already 3 pages on the forum before I had the chance to read the chapter. I agree with the Rory/Seth hookup. I like the way Seth went from beeing shy, not taking initiative to take over the action which started, leaving Rory flustered, but not able to reprocicate . As for Aron and Seth back together, I don't think that 'll happen. Didn't Seth say he came to the party to tell Aron it was over? Besides, I really think he likes Rory, else he wouldn't have stopped Rory and taken over. What to think of Jase catching th e two lovebirds in some heavy making out session? I'ld like to hear the conversation between Jase and Eddy/Rory about this one. Could be some interesting comments coming up along with the necessary blushes And like most, I'm back to beeing curious as what is in the packet Rory's mum sent him. all we can do is wait, be patient and wait. Taptaptap (just for old times sakes hehehe) Peter -
Spoken like a real addicted Domaholic hehehe I didn't even try to break it up. I just had to read it at once. Still it is a great chapter and guess what. Just like anybody waiting impatiently for the next instalment. Peter

I don't know but aren't we forgetting something? It is right that Jase could help as a professional, but in reality, Rory should make astep to Jase also. Jase already made an effort when he talked with Rory about the problems with Eddie. We all know that Rory won't say anything to Jase about what is bothering him when Eddie is present. Maby I'm a little confused but I get the feeling that Jase and Rory try to avoid each other. Rory because he has the feeling that Jase doesn't want him there and Jase because the situation with Rory coming over there almost cost him his relationship with Eddie. I know that last part can't really be blamed on Rory because here, in my opinion teh adults were wrong. Eddie for not coming out to Rory and Jase for Letting this come between him and Eddie and thus causing more stress on Rory when he found out. I hope that Rory and Jase have man-to-man talk in one of the next chapters where their initial problems can be resolved. Happy New Year everyone Peter

I found it a nice way to end, not a real cliffhanger but still leave you with wanting more. I agree with some of you that Rory is maturing a bit in this chapter. He starts to think before he answers and listens to what people are saying. Anyhow another great chapter and waiting impatiently for the next one. Happy new year everyone, enjoy yourselves at the parties but don't go overboard. Peter

I wonder if Rory wants to go back to Alice. Not once did he contact any of his friends over there, isn't it a bit strange. HE complains about being bored, but when he 's alone he could call his friends home. Does he expect to be welcomed back with open arms if he doesn't even makes the effort to call his friends. They can't call him because they don't know where he's staying. Even Eddy suggested to call home, but so far he onle called grandma Alice to whinen and complain. This to me is rather strange, specially if he expects to go home in a few weeks. Peter

Hey guys, Just to let you know, chapter 18 is online. Seth really is supprising. This is all I 'm gonna say. I don't want to spoil your reading. Peter

I agree, wasn't it mentionned in one of the first chapters that Jase was a psychiatrist? So he should know how disrupting things can be when you experience the things Rory had to get through. But the emotions Rory has to endure doesn't give him the right to act the way he has. Maybe it is time that Jase and Rory have a talk, because now Rory doesn't know Jase very well and it is my impression that he is affraid of Jase. As mentionned more then once, he thinks Jase doesn't want him there. a man to man talk might clear things up between those two. The fact that both Eddie and Jase came in to check an Rory makes me conclude that everything is almost back to normal between Jase and Eddie. That will be one thing less to worry about for Rory. We just have to wait and see how Dom twist around in the next chapters .

I don't know what it is with Aaron, but there 's something strange in his behaviour. As I see it, he is looking for confrontations and when it explodes, he's pleading innocent and blaming someone else. First the joyride where he puts the blame on Luke. Later on he is looking for a relation with Rory, although he knows that Luke is against it. He even keeps on trying after Luke warned him not to come near Rory. Now he's kissing Rory in front of an ex-BF knowing well how Seth will react to this and Rory gets full blast and he keeps out of range. How conveniant that he has to use the bathroom at that moment. I don't know but did he get dumped by Seth after the stunt he pulled with Luke and is he trying to make him jealous and looking for a new realtionship with Seth??? Is he using Rory to get this relationship back on tracks?? I guess we can only wait and see. sigh Peter

I disaggree, it isn't about the sex. The intention of the story was Quinn comming to terms with who he was and that actually happened in chapter 24. So although Dom burried his intentions to write a sequel, chapter 25 can be seen as the sequel of TOU. After all it is an extra chapter and I guess everything will be resolved as stated in Dom's blogentry. Peter
-
I aggree with everyone else about this chapter. It was a great one and if you follow the original intention it could have been the end. If I'm not mistaken it was a chapter about a young man comming to terms with his being gay and that part s resolved. If this was the end, it was a nice setup for a few sequels and spin offs. What is Jude's storie, what happened with Brad and his cousin and how did he resolve that etc. But it is nice to have an extra chapter where everything is resolved. At least that is my opinion. I guess it will be like TLW where a lot of time is passed in the extend of the chapter. Finally coming out to mom, talk with Brad resolvong everything and even hear Brad's story. Remeber he wanted to talk to Quinn about his homesituation but prefered to wait untill business at Quinn's got resolved? And of course all the other characters will have their input. I'm babbling over here, but then again i'm not really awake yet .

No probs James. It is a strange country and for your information, we started debating about adoption for gay couples. Our highest court (supreme court it is called in the US i believe) has voted in favor of this, but now it is up to the politicians. Although they are now searching for means to raise the taxes without suspicion, after all they want to be re-elected in 2007. They came up with the increddible idea of raising taxes on the interests we make on our savings. appearantly Belgians have one off the biggest savings accounts, but as with everything, the 80-20 rule applies. So the topic of adoptionrights for gay couples isn't high on their list. Huggs, Peter P.S Can you do a split? This is a requirement for cheerleaders i believe

Now, now James, Got something against us Belgians? I know it is a strange country for outsiders, hell it even sometimes is for us Belgians but compared to some countries, it is a paradise. Peter

I aggree with some of you that Quinn should be supportive of Brad the way he expects it the other way around. But hey, we still have a chapter to go (or maybe more, a guy can wish). There is still hope that things get better between the oldtime friends. While reading this chapter and Dom mentioning the backup in traffic as Quinn's driving home, I half expected it to be Bree and Kara having an accident. Luckily this din't happen, else mom wouldn't have been home when he arrived at Brad's. But now it is waiting and waiting and getting impatient for the next instalment, which is unluckily the last one snif, snif. (Or not???) Huggs, Peter

Happy Birthday Dom, Hopefully there will be a lot of those to follow in good health. Peter
-
So chapter 20 is up and Dom does it again. First working in one direction and then suddenly all the way around. First putting you to sleep, all is well and then bam, trouble ahead. Seeing Marissa and Brad together can mean 2 things, either they are up to something or she is trying to bring the former friendships back in place the way they used to be. I hope the last and she doesn't turn out to be another janie. I guess we will have to wait till the next chapter is up. It's good to see Bree coming to terms with Quinn after reading Quinns journal and his problems he had with accepting who he was. This is something you could expest from your family, but many times turn out the other way. Peter
