  1. I have been gone for a week to the mountains - no consistent Internet, so I am just now getting to this. What a great chapter. The only thing I would say is that the direct was too short for a real trial of this magnitude, and the cross would never have been completed in such a short time frame. I know, you couldn't drag it on too long for the story, but you should have suggested that there were more questions, and over a extended time frame. The dialog was great. Peter was a great witness, and the defense had no idea what to do to him. They did keep mischaracterizing the testimony, and I was disappointed with the last one Peter let go, about him inciting the incident at the Mall in January. But, as all trials must go, I am sure that there will be twists, unexpected pitfalls, and attempts by the "weak" defense to mislead the jury with "red herring" that is not accurate or relevant. Thanks for the good chapter!! Keep them coming. GR, Esq.
  2. I knew Chase would not go quietly into the night. I have alwyas rooted for Kyle and Cooper. I had a very difficult time staying with The List after the breakup with Kyle. I still hope for Kyle!!!!! Perhaps it is the lawyer in me, but they need to be together! Good as always, though. Thanks
  3. Good Law & Order episode! The drama and theatrics are good and appropriate. I always love to see the arrogant "high priced" attorney's brought back to reality by a no nonsense judge. The legal protocol, so far, appears to be appropriate. Thanks for that! Criminal law is not my area of expertise, but I have done enough jury trial to know (1) even when it looks like you are winning or making good points, the jury may see everything completely differently; (2) the opposition can always be expected to do the unexpected; and (3) even as clear cut as everything appears, nothing is ever a "slam dunk." I await the next 4 + Epilogue (really, only 4 chapters? Please reconsider?) with great anticipation. Perhaps a sequel would be better anyway to Second Shot.
  4. Yea! Let the trial begin! As a lawyer, I look forward to this trial. I also look forward to Chapter 1. THANKS!
  5. Don't rush wrapping the story up, I am enjoying reading it. All of the characters add something important to the development of the story, and you have done an excellent job. thanks
  6. Why am I not surprised that a divorce hearing in Texas would be like this? So totally anti-family! Anti-male!!!! I can only hope Coop and Kyle can survive the Texas legal system, despite Coop's destructive behavior!
