I have been gone for a week to the mountains - no consistent Internet, so I am just now getting to this. What a great chapter. The only thing I would say is that the direct was too short for a real trial of this magnitude, and the cross would never have been completed in such a short time frame. I know, you couldn't drag it on too long for the story, but you should have suggested that there were more questions, and over a extended time frame. The dialog was great. Peter was a great witness, and the defense had no idea what to do to him. They did keep mischaracterizing the testimony, and I was disappointed with the last one Peter let go, about him inciting the incident at the Mall in January. But, as all trials must go, I am sure that there will be twists, unexpected pitfalls, and attempts by the "weak" defense to mislead the jury with "red herring" that is not accurate or relevant. Thanks for the good chapter!! Keep them coming. GR, Esq.
