    Version 1

Short Stories By Lugh Leader of the Pack At a conference, George Graff reunited with his onetime lover and best friend, Jason, during which they met in George's room to talk; as a result, Jason convinced George to come with him and meet up with his pack under the light of the full moon in the form he preferred best - lupine - except this presented a problem for George who had lost his leg in an accident while protecting some members of his extended family in the not so distant

    Chapter 2

Short Stories By Lugh Leader of the Pack Dr. Graff placed his hands... "Hey George, I didn't know-" George pivoted with a smile. "That you would be here." "Of course, why wouldn't I?" Jason shrugged, "Dunno, just thought.." "Thought what? Because of the..." "Yeah." Jason nodded. "That's why." "Well, that's behind me now." "Can it truly ever be?" George nodded at his friend. Reluctantly, Jason accepted George's word. T

    Chapter 3

Short Stories By Lugh Leader of the Pack Dr. Graff placed his hands on either side of the podium and flexed the muscles of his one good leg. Jason arrived early and looked around for familiar faces; there were several including a very special one, "Hey George, I didn't know-" At the sound of the familiar voice, George pivoted on his artificial limb, and then faced the leader of the pack with a forced smile. "That you would be here, or that you would be addressin

  6. Short Stories By Lugh In Pop's Footsteps My parents didn't do anything wrong but be poor. Pops was a working class stiff his whole life who told us kids you work hard, you put away what you can, and you will have something to depend on when times get hard. Well, pops lived and died by his philosophy leaving mum with a serious problem because then mum, the church-going, home-making, cookie-baking woman that she was had to get a job. Pops had a nest egg and a small insu

    Story

There was war and rumors of war. The highlands and the lowlands fought as husband and wife throwing pots and manure at each other as they had for generations. Borders were guarded more jealously than a favorite mare in foal that tended to wander at birthing time. And the gods did not mind. The Mystics rode all the lands freely, beholden to none, belonging to all. Mages acted as healers and teachers. Warriors captained the guards of many noble households. Knights, where they could be found, ta
  9. Two kingdoms at war face a greater challenge to come. The mystic knights heed a warning from the priestess and hatch a plan to bring peace, but first they must find the ones the gods favor.

    The Third Fire

Short Stories By Lugh The Third Fire My name is Azrael and today is the last day of my innocence. The morning passed as mornings do, with waking and preparing for the day. I wore the clothes I always wore for these were the only clothes I had. The trews were heavyweight, coarse-woven and brown. The knees were patched, the left with a piece of black wool and the right with a striped remnant from my mother's collection of quilt-making scraps. My shirt was at one time white, b

  13. I stopped getting email averts a while back when I started dumping my spam folder back on the people sending me spam... now I only get a few a week I guess they don't like spam as much as I don't...
  14. well I wouldn't eat "liver and onions" as it's served in the good ole USA I would eat liver in other forms.... it does seem to be an ingrediant in foods I like from other countries.
  15. I actually saw this woman on strange sex before... she's got a harem of men who she keeps pleasured and who keeps her pleasured. So, she probably knows what she's talking about.
  16. except that you are in the lounge and blogs are listed under blogs... the tab is up there filed under B.L.O.G. -- third over from the left. Personally I live in a metro area that could eat your entire state for lunch and burp your city and not notice. However I also live in the bible belt where there is a church every 20 paces and someone praying for my poor depraved soul every street corner. Here, people are out. Kids are out. There are children in middle school who are not afraid to be themselves and they are not punished for it. The first day my son attended 8th grade a boy asked him if he had a boyfriend. You can be a jock and be gay, or bi, or whatever... and you can take your same gender significant other to the senior prom (so long as you have the proper permissions just like everyone else). As for the rest of the area, I honestly don't pay much attention. I know I should and I know I don't. We don't have a castro district. There are places queers hang out, but many of them are the same places straight people hang out. When you are shopping you can see a string of stores here and there with rainbows in the windows. It's not that anyone is hiding here, but that we've gone mainstream. The hate still occurs. My house gets egged at least once a year although I'm not sure if it's someone who is pissed at me being gay or my son for not being gay. The clearest indication was the time when a little girl glued kotex to the front door and wrote "quit being a douche" in red across the front of my house BEFORE egging it. Yeah I think that one was for the boy. Anyway... Discussions in Discussions and Blogs in Blogs... and Welcome to GA!
  17. um I think this is my 10th year... maybe 9th... maybe 11th... I'd actually have to count. Anyway this year's nano thread can be found here. It's probably best to try for 2500 words the first two weeks of November if you can because of the holidays near the end. Anyway, we sometimes gather in chat to whine (or I do) or get encouragement from each other and everyone else. The people here are very good about it. Welcome aboard.

  19. Eric, I'm aleady doing this on my hosted page. It's a work in progress as I see what works and what does not, and not too many people have downloaded and given feedback, but there are more possiblities in the future. Right now I'm using the PDF format, I've looked into epub and other formats as well. We will see.
  20. Jasmin, Your storyline IS your plot. One is just more detailed than the other. There are only so many plots in the world and all of them have been done. You will never write anything new, however you can put a new spin on an old plot. A climax is part of the plot. If you have a plot, then you have a climax. Maybe you need a class in writing, not just a generic English class. Check at your local adult education center or community college; some recreation centers or libraries in bigger cities hold them too. You should also hang out in the writer's areas of this site, there is a wealth of information there. Take the time to check your spelling and grammar, it shows a bit of professionalism, and even if the story isn't the best, it shows you care. As for getting the feedback you want, ask questions. Start a thread, and pose the questions you want the answers to in the correct forum. Ask the readers what they thought of particular parts or the plot in general. Find one or two that you trust and really pick their brains apart. Lugh
  21. I have several stories I do not post on this site because they do not fit for content. Some things will never follow the site's rules, sorry. If you would read the rules, it would be easier for you. That's why they are there.
  22. Maybe you need reading glasses. Go back and try again. YOU don't own THIS Wonderland either, just like Alice, you stumbled upon it. Just proves my point. Can't have a battle of wits when one comes without a set. Let me guess -- lack of grammar, lack of rule reading, lack of reading in general -- you must be an Arbour fan.
  23. Herm, might explain something then... I'm not English. Who is to say it is your Wonderland? You are the new-commer here. I said, if this is Wonderland, that would mean you are playing the role of Alice, the silly twit who fell down the rabbit hole. It's not your Wonderland at all. You are bumbling around and poking into things like a child. Beware.. Beware.. Beware.. Giggles. Maybe I am the Cheshire Cat who is pretending to be the Hatter.
  24. If this is Wonderland, then I call the Hatter -- always wanted to be Mad.
