  1. To tell the truth, half the products we use and the things we put in/on our bodies are poisoning us. If you ask me, in this day and age it's hard to avoid harmful chemicals besides living in an Amish lifestyle. I like modern convenience a tad too much for that.
  2. my favorite sign i always see is a big red one that says stop. *insert sarcastic drum beat here* ya i just made fun of my own comment/post. Anyways, i have an obsession for looking for the 'mystical sign' that something is ok or wrong. I'm not overly superstitious or anything but when i see a red rim around the moon or red actually on the moon, i tend to stay indoors and not go near pointy objects. maybe its just me.
  3. I opened my eyes and instantly snapped them shut again. The light from my window had felt like a dagger shooting through my retina. Add to that the throb building up in my skull and you had a good morning. Last night may have been a bad idea. I couldn't remember half of it and that's never a good sign. What I do remember involved dancing like an idiot, drinking, and tearing my shirt off at some point. Sure enough, when I opened my eyes again, there the shirt was lying on the floor ripp
  4. A couple hours later I was sitting in my apartment staring at a folder of papers they had given me. I was slightly dazed and kinda confused. It's a lot of information to process for one day. Basically I had signed away my life for the length of my employment. Also, I had to keep my tongue tied about the processes there and I couldn't take a similar job with a competitor until six months after my fire date. My main job was to handle all of the scheduling of models and equipment usage. I

    The Test

It would take me longer to walk to the studio than to drive my car but I decided I could spare the time. It’s not like I was in a hurry. Plus, I could use the exercise. I hadn't been out and about as much since I moved here. I felt lazy. Maybe I could find a gym after this meeting? It was a cooler day today and it was an overcast sky. It's amazing what a little bit of cloud cover will do to the temperature. With the heat lowered I could feel my spirits rise. What an amazing feeling. I felt
  6. The 'perfect place' turned out to be The Broken Line. Apparently the whole theme of the place was unfinished poetry or song lines. The drinks were all named after a piece of literature and so was most of the food. The tables, walls, chairs, and even coasters were stamped with incomplete phrases; some common and some not. I suspect that the ones on the coasters were written by the townsfolk. None were named and none sounded familiar or even refined. I ordered a Hamlet (ham sandwich on rye) a
  7. A couple of days passed by after my interview with Aiden and I still hadn't gotten a call from neither him nor the big boss. I was starting to get worried. With the weather being so hot, I was spending more time in my underwear in my place rather than clothed and outside. It was a hard thing to do. I like to be outside normally. It is a sad day when I feel uncomfortable out in the open air. I suppose the air here simply felt full. That the sky had been pumped full of something thick an
  8. I jumped up with a jolt, my hand falling unconsciously to the scar over my heart. A slight tingling spread over the two inch jagged line on my chest as I remembered the events of that day. It was such a long time ago but I can still count the wrinkles on the old bastards face, the sun spots on his hands, the hairs left on his head. I'm 22 years old now and living on my own in a small town in Ohio. Its rough going but I manage. I try to avoid churches for obvious reasons but they always seem t
  9. "I bet I can go higher!" "No you can't, I can!" The chains connected to the old swing creaked even louder as we kicked our feet even harder. The wind rushed in my hair and over my face. When my swing went forward, I imagined wings sprouting from my back. It felt like, if I were to let go of those chains. I would fly away. I was in paradise. "NO, DAMIEN, DONT!" Her scream pushed me out of my dreamland, I lost my concentration and let go of the chains. My wings were gone and i was falling stra
  10. Phoenix is different and he doesn't even know it. Haunted by a strange moment of his past, he dives into a new life filled with 'living' images and glowing eyes. This is a new age story of a boy turned man trying to fit into a rural small town. Being gay makes it hard but what makes it worse are the strange things that keep happening around him.
  11. This may just be a coincidence but, being as it's my first day as a member of Gay Authors, i think it may be a sign of good things to come. Anyhoot, as I was browsing the site on my porch using my laptop, I looked up and saw that the moon was rimmed by an honest to goodness RAINBOW! I wish I had a camera that could capture it properly. Anyone else look for signs like that and cant help but point them out?
  12. people make me laugh when they get upset about their information being used from facebook etc. it's like, really? you put the information on there. you put it on the internet and opened your life to the masses. the only one to blame is you.
  13. As a side note, I love it when someone goes all"grammar nazi' on someone in a forum but makes a million mistakes themselves. It's called a typo, it happens. I make lots of them. Thank the skies for spell check, right? haha
  14. you just made me laugh exceedingly loud. This song is awesome and is going on my Facebook. Very cute and well done. The sound reminds me of Flogging Molly for some reason. O.o Anyways, thanks for posting this!. P.S. Menage a 3 ROCKS!!!!
  15. I think i saw a video on this on the xbox dashboard a few months ago. It's totally amazing. I love how "some" people say that gamers are the wasterals and the uneducated of our age. This just proves them mostly wrong. Sure, there are some gamers that do nothing but sit around and click, click, click. But others are incredibly intelligent. In fact, most of the computer programing students at my college were avid gamers. It takes alot of intellect and intelligence to crack the puzzles etc. of some of the games out there these days.
  16. I'm weird when it comes to hair products. I work at Walmart in the backroom inventory area. Whenever i have to audit something from the health and beauty section, I stand around smelling things. Currently I am using Ausie shampoo and conditioner and Tone bodywash. I love the smell of Garnier products but I've used them for years so i wanted to switch it up. I first picked up Herbal Essence because it was the best smelling stuff in the world at first. Turns out the stuff smells like chemicals now. I REFUSE to use a chemically scented item to CLEAN my hair. Just seems wrong to me. I am a mix between a flamer and a manly gay. I have my moments of both. It's rather confusing.
  17. i agree with them being an amazing series. I'm not an obsessed fan ... *glances at hard copies and nook containing digital copies* I just like the story ... *looks at dvd's blurays, and digital movies* J.K. created some amazing characters ... *stares at Daniel Radcliffe poster* Okay, in all seriousness, I am sad to see the 'official' story end but i am also happy to have grown up with and had Harry & co. with me throughout my childhood. I'm proud to have been an H.P. kid in school.
