"I wouldn’t let him Dakota me for an entire year." What a great line! I loved this chapter. I love the raw emotion, the intended determination, the toxic introspection, the skeptical reaffirmation, the brutal epiphanies, all leading to who knows what. If Corbin had a yellow WWJD bracelet n, he'd be twisting it the whole shuttle ride back. Lol! As for Amanda, she threw more cold water on Corbin than could have been in that kiddie pool with her incisive analysis of the situation.
So Corbin stumbled. I blame the alcohol. Hehehe! I see strains of Odysseus here ... Each time he fell asleep or was not in control of his rationality, his men went off and did stupid things causing Odysseus setbacks time and time again. Luckily for him, and us, the span of this story is just a year. Lol!
Don't take so long before posting the next chapter!
