This was a beautiful story, a piece of art that I loved reading. Ariel's death was very sad but enriched the storyline as well. You dearly must make a sequel one day

Inspired by Prompt #206, this is a short story of unusual romance between a human peasant and one of the Faerie Lords.

I am really enjoying this. I do have to wonder what is behind it all - Are they both for real, or maybe one of them is hiding something? I was wondering if Dee is being truthful about trusting Sys and only seduced him for information, or maybe it is the other way around and Sys is hiding a secret ... looking forward to more.

I just finished reading this - An amazing story, truly deserving of being published (if I may dare say, it is gay fictions own epic saga in the tradition of Lord of the Rings) I came to love the characters, I cried along side them and felt like I was part of the story, watching event unfold myself - you've managed to make this world so real. I love how you've mixed science fiction, fantasy and good old human romance and emotions so well. It isn't happy ever after story either; characters die and not everybody finds true love. In some ways that makes it even easier to relate to the people in this story and their struggles. I started out reading this expecting it to be a short tale of normal length (I began by reading your small version which is broken up into chapters, before discovering the full story was already posted) and I was surprised and delighted to find it was such an epic tale. Kudos to you, it must have taken you an age to write this masterpiece.

Great work as always Cia, I've been watching this one and checking for a new chapter every day. I love how the story is unfolding. I am however totally mystified as to what the reasoning behind the attempts at murder are - can't wait to find out more.

I must admit Foopy, that had my laughing out loud and almost choking on my drink when I begun reading that. I never thought of that song like that.

Hello - I've been lurking for a long time, reading and loving the site but I've finally come out of the wood work and throw in the towel - I'm hoping to begin my first proper story soon. I've been a lurker of gay fiction for a long time - I've been inspired by people such as Nephylim, Cia, Jazcullen, NoMoreTears00 (aka MA Church) and Gweall who I all follow, and I really would like to learn to be a better author so I thought writing a story will be good experience
