  4. If planets and moons could talk. sandrewn (run away, run away, the humans are coming!!)
  5. I always did like this show! sandrewn (the first thing that comes to mind is not always politically correct, but is likely a winner)

  7. LEARN FROM YESTERDAY, LIVE FOR TODAY, HOPE FOR TOMORROW. ------ THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT TO STOP QUESTIONING. Albert Einstein sandrewn
  8. Believe you can and you're halfway there. Theodore Roosevelt sandrewn
  9. The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity. Benjamin Franklin Politician, Writer, Scientist sandrewn (timeless)
  10. Do unto others... "I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." Etienne de Grellet Quaker Missionary sandrewn (words to live by)
  11. I don't know about the rest of you, but up until this thread, I had never heard of Caecilians. So here is a quick 101(basic course) on them. http://animals.about.com/od/caecilians/p/caecilians.htm sandrewn (fascinating)
  12. Mark, I have said nothing since you started this thread. Do not take my silence as indifference to your circumstances. Know that I do care (I really do). As one of your main cheerleaders, I remain on the sidelines, always ready and waiting. Till the time out is over and the game resumes. Best wishes sandrewn
  13. I know life goes on and that nothing lasts for ever. It does not make me feel any better, knowing that. I will miss the site. When an author I follow passes like Ghost Rider, Walker or Sanchez, I feel bad because through their stories they became my friends and I will truly miss them. When a site goes down, it is as if a plane crashed and all the passengers were writers. Many of whom were friends. Hopefully the survivors will recover and not be afraid to fly once more. sandrewn (time marches on)
  14. Can any one here tell me how to find that thread on Snakes that was in the Lounge? I can't find it. I don't how to go back further than the three pages showing or if it is even possible to do so? Thanks in advance sandrewn
  15. Some of the previous posts' pictures can no longer be viewed. So if I duplicate one of yours, it was not intentional, sorry. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/559017/Biggest-huntsman-spider-ever-horror-pics-Brisbane-Australia-Barnyard-Betty-s-Rescue sandrewn
  16. None of you are interested? Pity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m87TR2HYakA Call me stubborn, but I really think that some of you are finding these last two videos to be as fascinating to watch as I am? sandrewn (I will persist)
  17. This video is an example of one of the reasons I started this thread. I think that everyone that views it will find something that interests them, piques their curiosity or adds to their knowledge and desire to learn something new. Please enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0rbOyOLfVw sandrewn (always curious and willing to learn something new)
  18. The Eye - Mysterious floating island discovered in Argentina! Natural or Alien? Read article and see video below. http://zeenews.india.com/environment/the-eye-mysterious-floating-island-discovered-in-argentina-watch-video_1929945.html sandrewn (I love a good mystery)

  21. I think some of you (most?) could substitute one of your kids for not a few of the following Okay, I can relate to three of the above and no, I never had any pets. sandrewn (two nephews and two godsons)
  22. Well it is now official, all the crap from when I was a kid are worthless. The following items however are, as the title says, worth way to much money (and I don't have any of them). http://www.viralmoon.net/view/11-stupid-items-that-are-now-worth-way-too-much-money/?action=next&splopt=vip&experiment=172&page=1 sandrewn (I do have a hula hoop, yoyo, Bolo bat, roller skates and a Lionel train set)
  23. I do not seek out having pain intentionally inflicted upon myself. So what comes next is not how I would choose to make a living. No sane person would. This guy is not playing with a full deck! sandrewn (I flinched just watching this)
  24. For some of these there was no caption and I couldn't think of any good ones or it was so obvious, none was needed Freud might have had answers for some of the above and all of them probably related to Mother/Father issues sandrewn
