Three posts with one like, that is a good average( 3 to 1) , keep it up. You put your BD in your profile, this means you thought you had to, or that you wanted to (#4). I choose believe, the wanted to, so let me just say... To you Boyke77 I hope you had a Very Happy Birthday!!! sandrewn (PS-I owe you a video)

We have never spoken, but I also like soccer so we have that in common. You should go with your gut feeling and try to write a story here on GA. Other wise you will always wonder if you could have, good or not so good. Who knows this could be the start of something great for you (#4). B.T.W. that picture of your dog with those red tulips is one of my all time favorites on this site. So AndyG... I wish you Northern Dutch Guy A Great & Happy Birthday sandrewn (PS-I owe you a video)

On the one side, not posting until completed insures in the long run that your readers' end up happy. On the other side, posting as each chapter is completed is very satisfying as well. Go with what makes you more comfortable, there is no right or wrong way (be happy). It is good to have you back.(#3) Wishing you Andr0gene A very Happy Birthday!!! sandrewn (PS - I owe you a video)

I made a New Years resolution to wish all of you a HB this year ( # 2 ). It is thanks to you and your fellow authors that there is a GA to enjoy, thank you. Here is wishing you Krista A very Happy Birthday!!! sandrewn (PS- I owe you a video)

I echo what the really old guy ( ) before me said. Every member of GA is special and should get a birthday wish from fellow members. Having said that, there are those whom by their words and deeds rate a wee bit more. Dughlas I hope you really had a great day!!!! Sandrewn (PS - I owe you a video)

i don't think this would work over here. I wonder if the store clerk works on a commission-based salary? http://www.cbc.ca/books/2015/11/this-japanese-bookstore-stocks-just-one-book-per-week.html

I only saw this just before midnight, So my thought was on time, if not my post. You are a hard man to write about, your profile gives little ( 0 ) away. However, as an editor for Circumnavigation ( I loved that story) I wanted to thank you for that. So, without further ado, I hope you... EMoe57 had A Very Happy Birthday I Iiked the skill with the sand, but there was no real noise to it. So I am including this. Sandrewn

Seeing as there is a bit of a time out and Nelson was mentioned again. I have found a film (sort of) on Nelson from 1926, by British Pathe. I think it predates even our oldest member here on GA (if you are older, WOW, let us know). I think there is a lot missing from reels one and two, but three and four make about an hours worth. Even if it doesn't really turn your crank, I would suggest watching it. You will not see its' like again I'm thinking. Dispite the melting near the finish, the film really does end. http://www.britishpathe.com/workspaces/show/jhoyle/N0xOG0eb/full Sandrewn

When I started to look, based on your interests for a video, I got a bit side tracked and did not want to use one from the many tangents I found myself on. So I came back to one of the originals I found. So..... Nephylim Have a Wonderful Birthday Sandrewn

We seem to have gotten side tracked here! Let us focus on the objective of this thread. To get us back in the right DIRECTION, I first offer you a short distraction, followed by the Master of the Count. Keep going clochette.

Mark, I've lived in a big city all my life, seen a bit of the world. The one thing I always wanted to do was live in the country. I never had a pet. I envy you and what you have achieved. I don't for a second think it was easy and is still probably a challange. It is good knowing that you now have someone to share it with. Wishing that today you.... Mark Have a Great & Happy Birthday !!! John Denver (RIP) was was one of my favourite singers, I even memorized the words to this one. Sandrewn

Oops, I don't know what happened but I lost the video on that last one, here it is now (I hope). Sandrewn

Good thing someone had the inside track and tipped us off. Since you told us that you are still alive and have a weeks' holiday this week, congrats on both! As your birthday was yesterday, I can make this an unbirthday or belated birthday wish? Let us go with a belated one. I really hope you had a great day, Ace A Happy Birthday wish to you

It is just past midnight (here). From what you told us, last year wasn't a great one for you. I would suggest you chalk it up as a learning experience, box it and file it away under a heading of - Year 24 / Crap. Now, on to the first day of the rest of your life. May this year be a Gazillion times better and your dreams come true. So Arpeggio a.k.a. Lacey, here is hoping that you have an outstanding and memorable day. A very Happy (25th) Birthday to you Lacey and because I couldn't decide on which one to choose? I included both. Sandrewn

I saw these pictures a few months ago. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I especially liked the last one, its' creator is truly an artisan extraordinaire in working with glass. http://www.viralnova.com/unseen-pictures/?np=10

Oh, you can't just leave our members hanging like that, take pity. http://www.baberuthcentral.com/babesimpact/legends/the-curse-of-the-bambino/ A personal anecdote from tonight. Everyone else thought I was on my computer. I was in fact on the roof getting shots of the last minutes of the eclipse (0015 hrs). My camera battery died, so no last shots.. When I got down, I found the back door locked. I had locked the front door earlier. To make a long story short. Got into the garage (keypad), got the twelve foot ladder. Climbed up onto the front balcony, T.G. the patio doors weren't locked. Put everything away and now I am in front of the computer clicked away to you. Good night Sandrewn

Reader1810 and jfalkon, sorry that Mother Nature is not cooperating for you. To you two and any others out there, the best site I have found so far seems to be the following one: http://heavy.com/news/2015/09/supermoon-super-blood-moon-lunar-eclipse-live-stream-video-online-nasa-free-youtube-ustream/ From my location (Montreal), the moon is almost half eclipsed, still some time till full eclipse. Once the bright white is covered, the dark shadow will start to progressively turn (appear) reddish, devilishly so, I hope. Strange, I seem to have an urge to howl, go figure. Sandrewn

It is the memory that will be engraved into your daughters' mind tonight, what she will use to compare with the next one she sees in 2033. Hopefully with you there watching too. With luck me too, the Lord willing and the creek don't rise ( I was and always will be a John Wayne fan). Speaking of taking pictures, it must be frustrating to both Palintir and Graeme (you guys take great pics) to be in the wrong place at the right time ( watch that NASA live feed ). To The_Jordanator, you should watch it, the next one for you will be in double your time of existance (to date) plus three or so years. http://www.space.com/19878-halleys-comet.html More humbling still is that our lives are not even a blink on the cosmic screen. Of the billions who saw this same eclipse in 1910, possibly 250 thousand are still alive. Halley's Comet passed by in 1986, with 75 yrs between each pass, it will be 2061 when next seen. I would be 110 years young at that point (not good odds). Some of you reading this WILL here to see it. Am I jealous, not really. Do I envy you, yes. So, barring a Big Super Volcano (extinction), a Bloody big Asteriod (more extinction) or some damn idiot with an itchy trigger finger on some blasted Great Big Red Button (damned followed shortly by extinction). Please think back to this time, this day, this minute and my wishing well to you. Locheim Sandrewn

With an eclipse of the sun, you are not supposed to look directly without proper protection. With an eclipse of the moon, I agree, overcast is a pain in the butt. Good news You/We can watch it live, on a few sites. This one looks to be promising. http://www.space.com/30662-supermoon-total-lunar-eclipse-webcast.html I will try to see and photograph it. For sure I will watch it live on line if it goes down to 5 degrees celsius again tonight. Happy viewing Sandrewn

Like Graemes Good News Thread, I'm not sure if this going to be a flop or a door to wonders galore. Often, each of us, sees or hears of something that we feel might be of interest to others. As an Intro - I submit the following: Super Harvest Blood Moon Eclipse https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/nasa-scientist-sheds-light-on-rare-sept-27-supermoon-eclipse This will be my third, with luck I'll be around for my fourth (2033). For some of you, your first. There are a few still around from the 1910 eclipse UN census said as of 2012 that there were approximately 316,600 people in the world 100 or more years old, alive. http://populationpyramid.net/world/2015/ Point of interest, there are today, 5 people left who were born in the 1800s. http://www.earthporm.com/5-women-represent-last-living-people-born-1800s/ I was surprised that no one else had brought tonights eclipse up. This is definetly food for thought. A penny (or more appropriately a spud) for your thoughts on this? Now I suppose that this song will have to be adjusted to include this new way of using the potato. Sandrewn

As all the Canuks before me have said, thank you all for your best wishes. It is good to have friends like you. Thanks Sandrewn

Just for the record, if I wasn't a Canadian, I would be proud to be an American. So to you, all my friends south of the border, I wish you a great and grand... I couldn't help it, I wanted something just a bit different. Sandrewn (FrenchCanadian, I have the movie and am watching it now )

I have the urge join in and wish you a H Bd, but I will control myself and will wait until tomorrow. In the mean time I will instead wish you a..... Sandrewn
