  1. Hey Hillj, So, like all truly disorganised writers, i have two shifter universes. There is the universe where Born Wolf, MUSH!, and other happen. and the world where Summer Camp and Falling For A Bear happen. Other than that, yes, there is consistency. The reson that Kurt can't shift while he is injured is the same reason one cannot shift while pregnant. When shifting, the body rejects all "foreign" matter, bones break and re heal. He could shift, but on shifting back to human, he might end up with his broken bone sticking out through his flesh, because things won't aline the way they otherwise would. As for Tahryn, Kurt, Chaska and Jene - I could tell you, but I won't. Surprises are more fun. I will tell you however that a takeover isn't on the cards, mostly because the New Forest is out of MY personal home territory and would be too hard to write about for an extended period.

  6. errr....gravy doesn't have a recipe where i'm from. Basically - the juice of whatever you roasted, pumped up with water or stock if you have some in the fridge, plus gravy browning powder (which is not bisto). fry the onions in butter VERY slowly, then throw brown sugar in right at the end and cook until sticky before stirring into the gravy. you should be able to stand a spoon up in it, add more cornflour if not thick enough.
  7. i cannot give you an actual whole recipe - because i am sworn to secrecy by the pizza guy. but... thin crispy pizza base tomato and basil passata sauce grated mozzarella basil leaves capers (trust me) panchetta lardons caramelized red peppers goats cheese (about three round slices for a 12 inch pizza) Seriously, complete and total heaven.
  8. you got pink lemonade and sugar there?

    Chapter 7.2

Degan Canon paced his study, waiting on the arrival of the alpha from the New Forest Pack. Technically South Bank was their closest pack, he should have contacted them in the event an adjudicator was required, but Degan hadn’t. Instead he had called Murray Hill. The relatively new alpha had come to the post recently enough not to have yet been to conclave or heard much about Kurt, and Degan was hoping it would work in his favour. Kurt was not to blame for Philip Tanner’s death. That much was cl

I'm not allowed have favourites. Can you imagine what Kiorl and Co would do to me if i picked one of them over the others?
  13. from my experience, there is nothing wrong with Win7, it's basically XP but shinier. after the debacle that was Vista (I know) and now the new issues of 8 being absolutely and totally appalling, i thinkit's right that they drop support for XP so they can focus on fixing whatever the hell went wrong at headquarters that allowed two shite OS's to be released to the general public. it's time, everyone will just have to cope or go "off grid" and use linux. Edit: i don't use linux and have no intention of doing so. my husband says I'm weak for sticking with corporation software. no judgement, but he's a bit strong willed when it comes to software.

    Chapter 4

He felt guilty walking into church. Guilty and very much as though he was being watched, and judged. Jeremiah’s family hadn’t been terribly religious, though his mother had liked to attend Sunday service when he and his sister were younger. They had both been baptised. Jeremiah was slightly ashamed to admit he had no idea what sort of church he was even in – he’d just picked the biggest one in the surrounding area of the city. His logic had been simple; if a demon appeared in one part of the cit

  16. I can't say when they'll be back, sorry hun. It's not snowing up there right now. Kurt and Tay will be having fun until may 3rd, and in published paperback form within the next couple of weeks.
  17. Anything you have to say in a review is totally worth it. even if it's just "hi". I didn't stop for lack of interest in the story, though i'll admit that the low number of reviews for a story concept that i really like does trouble me. it became spring, and the huskies went to sleep. I haven't been able to get Socco to shut up since december, he's such a chatty little bugger, and all of a sudden he stopped talking. if i had nothing else on, i could force it, but i don't think any of us would be happy with the end result. Sorry.
  18. does that mean DDK is painting dinner?
  19. rectum (sorry, could not resist)
  20. That my lovelies, is onion gravy. Total staple of the British diet and one of my dad's absolute favourite things. Caramelised onions, often in bacon dripping, in thick rich gravy. You can't just stand a spoon in mine, you can plant a flag and lean on it.
  21. Short advice: don't sit down to write a book. Sit down to write, and just keep going. Also, you might find it very helpful to try writing your first novel for Nanowrimo in november. you have to write 50K then and there are a bunch to people all madly trying for the same thing. there's a great community spirit (and a little bit of healthy competition) to keep you going through the hard times. And no, I basically never plan. Whole of Born Wolf over 100K, not one word of planning was ever written.
  22. I like Kitt says, it's the person not the parts.
