  1. the presence of tits? and the fact that no one is yet brave enough to release a major sci-fi motion picture with a gay theme.
  2. then ignore my reply to your review, since I did that before a came here. Don't worry sweetie, I am often very very dense. Very few other writers (if any) have to ask their editor "is 'beautiful' an adjective?" i'm certainly not as smart as I seem.
  3. oh I don't want to drive anyone to drink! everything else i'll take with bells on!Will I make you love Nathan? Well, I ended up loving Nathan, and so did Ma, so I'm kind of hoping you'll at least come around to his side of things.
  4. I think they both spent that dinner squirming in a delightfully uncomfortable manner and trying not to have sex in Ashlee's childhood bedroom! but I know what you mean.Clem and Ash will always have a home at Four Corners, and with you I think. you make fried chicken right Lisa? You gotta feed my boys! Thank you, and always you are most welcome.
  5. bits of both epilogues were told in the past, and bits in the "now".Clem and Ashlee have bought a ranch, and neither of them own any furniture - hence the lack of bed.
  6. Eros (names count right?)
  7. The gifts are my favourite bit I think, and I know exactly what you mean. Clem would never choose them, but he'd do anything to make the man he loved happy. The horses are not for riding though - they're for work. Clem's going all natural!
  8. thank you sweetie!
  9. More room? You realise there is an anthology story up there right now!
  10. It is the difference between having ideas and then having the patience, the dedication (as Cia said), and the willingness to make them happen. Stephen King says that "Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is lot of hard work." And he's right. Lots of people have the ideas to write, less are willing to put in the time and effort. And yes, you will need to sacrifice other stuff you want, other things you do and the time you spend on them if you want to do it, and then do it well.
  11. I'm so gonna miss these guys. I'm allowed to say that, right?
  12. but what kind of bias? You're welcome, and thank you. they are lovely and accepting, and I will miss them too.
  13. Shhh... me too. I love an HEA: it's why I write so many of them. Nathan's rehab...well we shall see how that goes.
  14. Thank you dugh, and you're welcome."cusp" is a great word. I should use that more often.
  15. there we go, you said it all. happy and balanced and in love forever. they'll be fine.
  16. I'll take that challenge - because you weren't keen on Ashlee either, but I've talked you round (and plenty others).I'm glad you like the ending. and I love the idea of Charlie as being "their kid" - I hadn't thought of it like that before.
  17. Thank you Cole, so so much.It went plenty of places I never expected. Not bad for a two minute idea in the back of a truck in the dark in New Jersey.
  18. you're welcome, and thank you. Us mad romantic deviants think alike, eh?
  19. thanks Lisa. I'm glad you are enjoying the epilogue, and I think you might be right in some of your assumptions. We;ll talk after you're done enjoying the boy's last stand, eh?
  20. Clem poured himself into his bed and sank instantly into the softness of the mattress. He was so incredibly tired; it was four o’clock in the morning and in two hours the sun would be up and even though Clem wanted nothing more than not to move for another eight hours, his body almost certainly would not let him. In six hours he would need to be back up at the lambing shed, ready to resume his shift again, waiting and watching for the birth of the next generation. With the three hands each pulli
  21. it suddenly strikes me that I haven't written about drugs in years... gosh, I grew up!
