Shadows of the Moon The Inn Reginald lingered by the doorway, his gaze resting on his mother. Her delicate frame seemed almost swallowed by the black garments she wore, a solemn tribute to a man who could no longer hold her hand. There was a steadfastness in her decision to stay, a quiet resolve to keep his father's memory alive by remaining close to the earth that held him. Yet, her eyes—soft pools of sorrow—betrayed the loneliness that awaited her in the days to come.
