Seems Jabel is as jumpy as a cat in a pen full of dogs! I guess sometimes Jabel can't see kindness when it bites him on the leg. Now Jabel acting out of control and showing his fear. Lucas isn't going to let any of this pass, with Jabel being Skittish and all. I just wish someone would take a chance I just love this part hmmm what could come of this
“I like us being friends.”
“Do you?”
“Course I do. Don’t it seem so?”
He nodded. “It does, but sometimes you be hard to read. I know I said I wouldn’t pry, but if you ever have something to say, you can. You can trust me. You recall saying the same thing to me?”
Jubal’s eyes widened. He surely did remember, but hadn’t thought much about it after what happened. “Yep… it was just afore you got shot.”
“And you meant it, I hadn’t a doubt. And I mean it too, and we have that conversation to finish at some point.”
“About Reid and you?”
“That’s part of it. But now ain’t the time. I just need to know you won’t be running off.”
“Why would you need to know that? I said I wouldn’t be going nowhere.”
I can't wait to see what might come of this talk when Lucas gets home! Reid's timing couldn't be better Jabel try's to run off but Lucas is having not of that! Damn Jabel don't mess this whole thing up with Lucas, have a care!!!! Jabel is the blindless of blind men I ever have seen!
