We had some sun today, too. Now it's dark, though. Nearly half past 7.

Ooh, sounds so tasty! We have cake, too, but it's just a regular chocolate cake. Bought in a shop. Haven't heard and blackbirds here yet... If the thaw continues I expect we'll get them soonish, though they normally don't really come out until around March here. Ooh, also tasty! We had thai chicken pizza. With pineapple and peanuts. Really special and tasty.

My granddad passed away last year, a couple of weeks after his 90th birthday. He'd been in hospital for a long time, it was his time. Still broke my heart, though.

I know that feeling. I feel similarly around my dad's birthday, really.

I had a budgie when I was a kid. He was called Pippin. After Pippin the Short (who is, in Norwegian, called Pippin the Little; my dad named him, ultimate dad joke). He lived for a fairly long time. He was already pretty old when we got him, around 1991 or so, estimated over 10 years old, and he didn't die until 1999. He was so beautiful. Yellow head, wonderfully shiny turquoise chest. My granddad taught me the songs of all the birds of the forest. He knew everything.

I used to go to this coffee shop at the university library. Since I wasn't a student I didn't have Internet access there, so there were fewer distractions, lol! Wrote a fair bit of Nemesis 2 there. Sleep tight!

Partly overcast. Melting snow. It'll get cold again next week, but no precipitation, so with any luck it won't get slippery...

Talked to my shrink about this Monday. My diagnosis is chronic. You don't just get over it. You can try to live as normal a life as you can manage, but even with the meds it's gonna be more of a challenge than it is for other people. Something we have to accept and try to live with, and make the best of it that we can. And for what it's worth, I'm really glad you're here, tim. Hang in there, and have a good day.
