  1. So many good movie recommendations in this thread. Here are a couple that have yet to be mentioned, though. They're cult films, so not that surprising, I guess. Velvet Goldmine is a film about David Bowie, except not really. It has awesome music and superb acting and everyone on the planet should see it cause it's so awesome. Also, kind of weird. The Naked Civil Servant is a film about Quentin Crisp, starring John Hurt, and is amazing. Couldn't find a trailer for it. Did, however, find one for the sequel (which was made decades after the first one), An Englishman In New York, also starring John Hurt:
  2. People have different ideas of what is too much. Personally, I think as long as no one's getting hurt and you're fully clothed, it's fine. But then, I'm Scandinavian. Short of sex in public, no one really gives a rat's arse what you do. Unless, of course, you happen to be doing it with someone of the same gender, cause then some people are suddenly very offended. Not most, but some. I think that if you guys had been a straight couple, people probably wouldn't have reacted as strongly.
  3. I identify as queer. I'm bisexual and genderqueer/non-binary, I'm an activist, and I volunteer at Pride every year (this year I was a sound tech at Pride House in Oslo). I don't like calling the LGBTQ+ community the gay community. To most people, gay means people who are exclusively attracted to the same gender, usually men who are attracted to men. I'm not gay, and I think calling it the gay community erases the other identities therein. Which, as @droughtquake points out, is actually a huge problem within the community. I have often felt like I'm not welcome. I feel like my gender and sexual identities are largely invisible in the community at large. I've been told to pick a side, call myself either gay or straight because bisexuality doesn't actually exist, according to some. It's just people who are too cowardly to come out as gay.
  4. Me too. It felt awful to leave them hanging like this for four years.
  5. That's awesome! Thank you for reading!
  6. Thank you! It's good to be back.
  7. CHAPTER THIRTEEN Passive Aggressive Nick sneezed, and the sneeze turned into a cough. He blew his nose and dropped the tissue into the wastepaper basket next to his bed, before lying back against his pillow with a huge sigh. The worst thing about having one’s birthday in February, was that it was right in the middle of flu season. It wasn’t the first time Nick had been ill on his birthday, but in the past it hadn’t mattered much, because he’d be spending it by himself anyway. T
  8. Glad you think so! ❤️ I'm also very happy it's finished... Thank you for taking the time to read and comment!
  9. Lily and James’s date appeared to have gone well. So well, in fact, that not only were they now friends, but could be seen holding hands in the common room, and once Remus even caught them kissing each other goodnight in a corner by the staircase to the boys’ dormitories. They still bickered, of course, as James still had a tendency to go easy on pranksters—not just his own friends, but younger students as well. Still, Remus was happy for them, though seeing them together made him miss Sirius, a
  10. Thank you so, so much! Very happy you enjoyed it. And yeah, now it's up here in its entirety for new readers to enjoy, so there is that. Thanks! ❤️
  11. When I got my gaming PC (from a wonderful website where you pick all your parts and then send it to you) I couldn't get a signal to my monitor. I'd switch the monitor and the PC on, and the monitor would be all "no source". I actually got a guy from their tech support to come to my place to have a look. Turned out the monitor was just set to the wrong input. So, he helped me install Windows since he was there anyway (could have done that myself without problem, but it's nice to have someone to input the product key while you're reading it out, so...), and it turned out he knew my cousin. Small world.
  12. Thank you! Glad you liked it.
  13. Remus and Severus walked to Hogsmeade together, mostly in silence. The leaves on the trees were turning yellow and red, and falling to the ground. It had rained during the night and everything smelled fresh. They started out in Honeydukes, where Remus bought some liquorice wands and chocolate, while Severus said that he needed to save his money for a new quill from Scrivenshaft’s. When they left the shop, Remus offered him some of his chocolate. ‘No, thank you,’ said Severus politely.

  18. Lol! Glad you liked it. You know, it's funny. When I reread things I wrote such a long time ago (I mean, that was back in 2013), it feels like someone else wrote it, and it makes me blush... 😳
  19. I'm glad you think so! Thank you! ❤️
  20. Thank you for your kind words! I am very happy you enjoyed it.
  21. Soooo, I just went over my settings one last time in the old profile and discovered something... Apparently, I accidentally zoomed, and that set the site to mobile version. When I clicked reset zoom, on a whim, it restored to the proper one. I feel like an idiot now. 😂
  22. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment!
  23. Thank you!
  24. All right, that worked. Of course, now I have to sign in to everything and try to remember all my passwords again... :P Thanks for the help!
  25. I don't quite understand what I'm looking at, clicking that link, tbh. Nor can I figure out how I can create a new user profile.
