I don't think he'll be doing it in full-on Glaswegian or anything. His regular accent is pretty watered down anyway, he's worked in England so much. I tend to find that he speaks much clearer than many Englishmen. He's easy to understand, I don't think you'll have any problems, and even if you do, you'll learn from it and get used to it quite quickly.

One incarnation of the Doctor can look older, and then the next can look younger again. Hartnel was older, Troughton was slightly younger, Pertwee was older, Baker was slightly younger, Davidson was the youngest ever until Matt came along, Baker the second was older than Davidson, McCoy was born the same year as Baker, McGann was younger... I have some experience with strangulation fetish, actually... NOT on the receiving end, that scares the crap out of me, but I have been the one doing the pretend strangling (that's scary, too, of course). And it's only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. First time I did it I was really freaked out, but... The response of my partner... Long review! I love your long reviews, they always make me so happy! Yeah, these two are both plenty damaged. Possible future forays into their relationship may reveal whether or not they are at all redeemable. I really want to explore what the deal is with Marcus and his dad. Since I wrote this from Jacob's point of view, I know about as much about it as you do, though I'm sure Marcus will tell me more when I give him a voice. As I tole Nephy below, I think I'd probably run out of material if I were to write a whole novel in this sort of voice, but a series of short stories is not entirely out of the question. I've been told that 'twat' is a very British expression and that many Americans might not understand it, though it's possible that I've been misinformed. Then again, it's a big country, what you know might not be what everyone knows. Thank you so, so much for this review, and I'm really, really happy that you seem to have enjoyed this story as well, even if it was very... different.

I like a bit of abuse here and there, too. Especially when a relationship is mutually abusive and unhealthy. No one really has the upper hand in this one, they're both equally damaged and equally angry, and that makes it really very balanced, I think. I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I'm considering at least doing a sequel from Marcus's point of view, though I think I would probably run out of material if I tried to make a novel out of this.

Now, there's a fun idea, though of course Mark has his own dreams and things he'd like to do. One shouldn't live one's life just for one's lover. I'm glad you responded so emotionally to this chapter, though. Makes me happy to know that people care about these characters as much as I do. Thank you for reviewing! <3
