That's good. I believe it's the same in Norway. I haven't actually been able to find the exact legal framework in the UK, so I'm winging it a little bit. Call it artistic license, lol! But I do believe that there is a preference for children to live with their biological families in possible. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Hey, everybody. Logging on to update a story, thought I'd drop in. Hot today, almost 30°C. It's awful, but I'm gonna go jump in the sea later to cool off. Well, I'm headed for bed. Up early tomorrow. We're driving for seven hours to Stockholm, then taking the overnight ferry to Turku, and then another six or seven hours on the road on Sunday to get to where we're going. Long trip, but it'll be worth it for two weeks of quiet in the forest. No WiFi, so I'll be online sparingly. Hoping to get a lot of writing done, though. I'll drop in occasionally and say hi. Such a beautiful ending. Markus fits so perfectly with Nate and Chris. And as happy as they were together, just the two of them, they need a third to feel complete. Once you've been in that kind of relationship, I think it's hard to go back. Thank you for letting me be a part of this journey, Wayne. It's been an honour and a privilege. ❤️

Evening, all! Hope you're all well. Despite feeling not great today either I went for a run and now I feel much better. So yay! Exercise helps, apparently. Who'd have thought?

It's sad how the system fails some of these kids, by prioritising the rights of the family above the rights of the child. I live in a country where this happens less; the Norwegian child protection service, Barnevernet, is internationally infamous for 'taking people's kids away'. In reality, we just have a lower threshold for abuse and neglect. It's far from perfect, but it does put the kid first in most cases. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Def!
