Thanks for letting us know. Please tell him I said hi!
Good morning, DiC. It's cooler here today. Gonna go for a run later on. Hope you all have a good day!
It does, doesn't it? But he wouldn't be the first child to be sent to live with estranged relations because his parent can't look after him for whatever reason...
Hey everybody, just checking in. Been an active day here. This morning, Mum and I went for a walk to find me a good route for my running. I've decided to go for a run every other day while I'm here. Trying to get my pace up so I can eventually run 5k in half an hour. Then we went to the beach and I got to swim around for a bit. It wasn't the warmest it's been and the air was cooler today than yesterday, but it was still nice. Then I did some cleaning, vacuumed my room and stuff, and now I'm sitting here with an ale following tasty chilli con carne for dinner. Sauna in a bit. Today is a good day.
Hope you all have a nice day! ❤️
For very obvious reasons, Daniel struggles with confrontation, and with asserting himself and his wants and needs. Thank you as ever for taking the time to read and comment!
I don’t know, Parker. It’s awful. What’s worse is that people forget. They forget which rhetoric leads to these things and just let it stand. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, isn’t that the phrase?
Thanks for commenting, my friend.
it’s a beautiful summer’s day
all the children go out to play
nobody thought it would end this way
the sun is warm and the sky is blue
all day long i can play with you
believing in things that are good and true
falling out of the sky now
is it my time to die now
seeing truth through the lies
there is nowhere to hide
over in just one moment
don’t you dare to let go of my hand
aching so i can hardly stand
nowhere to go on this p
That's good. I believe it's the same in Norway. I haven't actually been able to find the exact legal framework in the UK, so I'm winging it a little bit. Call it artistic license, lol! But I do believe that there is a preference for children to live with their biological families in possible. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Here's hoping. Daniel is so stuck in the mindset that he shouldn't be a burden to anyone that putting on a brave face is what he does if he's at all able to. Thanks so much for commenting!
In my experience, most social workers have a great deal of empathy. Unfortunately, they have to work within a system that doesn't. Thanks for commenting!
I rang the doorbell to Stephen and Lewis’s house. Daniel’s house. The thought made me smile. It was early Thursday afternoon, two days before New Year’s Eve. Christmas had been good. Better than good. It had been great, and I knew Daniel had had a good Christmas, too, for once. I hoped things had gone well with his grandparents the day before.
The door opened and Daniel appeared. ‘Hey.’
‘Hey!’ I grinned, stepping inside, but a moment later my face fell at seeing Daniel’s expression. He l
Hey, everybody. Logging on to update a story, thought I'd drop in. Hot today, almost 30°C. It's awful, but I'm gonna go jump in the sea later to cool off. Hope you've been and are doing well!
@MacGreg Really sorry to hear about you and sean. Hope you're doing okay. You've lent me a friendly ear more than once; on the off chance it would do any good, I'm a PM away (even if I won't be online too much in the next couple of weeks, I'll probably check my messages once a day or so).
Well, I'm headed for bed. Up early tomorrow. We're driving for seven hours to Stockholm, then taking the overnight ferry to Turku, and then another six or seven hours on the road on Sunday to get to where we're going. Long trip, but it'll be worth it for two weeks of quiet in the forest. No WiFi, so I'll be online sparingly. Hoping to get a lot of writing done, though. I'll drop in occasionally and say hi. Be good, everyone!
Goodnight, DiC!
If you want a funny, light-hearted, cute little romance, don't read this book. Read this book if you want to feel. If you're prepared for a rollercoaster of raw emotions and probably a few tears, this is the book for you. And even if you're not ready, read it anyway. You'll read the final word of the final chapter, and you'll be glad that you did. Wayne is a fantastic writer who will take you on a remarkable journey, so let him.
Such a beautiful ending. Markus fits so perfectly with Nate and Chris. And as happy as they were together, just the two of them, they need a third to feel complete. Once you've been in that kind of relationship, I think it's hard to go back.
Thank you for letting me be a part of this journey, Wayne. It's been an honour and a privilege. ❤️
