Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it. Thanks so much for taking a moment to comment!

The new one is really good. I loved it. It's different, though, and they've changed the timeline a little bit, moved it forward in time.

‘Isn’t there anything we can do?’ Lewis was on the phone with Social Services again. Stephen sat at the kitchen table, listening to his end of the conversation. ‘I see. But—No, I realise that.’ ‘Put them on speaker,’ said Stephen, and Lewis relented with a sigh. Amanda’s voice came over the line. ‘You two would make a wonderful family for him. Mr. and Mrs. Hartman have a claim of sorts, though, as blood relations. But we’re not just sending him up there to stay forever, all right?’ ‘

I'm working my way through recordings of all the Tales of the City books at the moment. Just started on Further Tales of the City. They're good.

Absolutely. I've had two partners at the same time before, though they weren't together so it doesn't quite count as a throuple (or triad or whatever you want to call it). But I'm polyamorous. Currently in a monogamous relationship, though.

The Moon Landings. A great achievement or an elaborate hoax?
Thorn Wilde replied to Dodger's topic in The Lounge
I feel the need to share a story that Neil Gaiman shared on the subject of impostor syndrome, that feeling that you don’t really deserve recognition because you’re not really special, you don’t belong, and any second people are gonna find you out, point and say, “What’s that person doing here??” He was at a big party full of Hollywood types, the wealthy and famous, and feeling out of place. But he ended up speaking to a person who shared his first name, who also admitted he felt like he didn’t belong in such exclusive company. So Neil Gaiman said to him, “Well, you were the first man on the moon. That has to count for something.” I love knowing that Neil Armstrong was such a humble individual, though I’m sure some would use that as “evidence” that the moon landing never happened.- 13 replies

Thank you, Fae. ❤️ I think in a way it would be easier for her if I just went ahead and did all the things. She’d be concerned and upset still, but she’d also have some kind of peace. But I’m not ready yet. I haven’t made up my mind about it all, and that’s okay too.

Thank you Wayne, and thanks for listening to me on Hangouts earlier, too. I appreciate you. ❤️

Good morning, DiC! Still out here on zoo island. In addition to Loke the lapphund (who has gone home) there are 4 cats and a poodle. Much cooler today. Cloudy this morning, but the sun is coming out. Yeah, the weather yesterday wasn’t great for him. It wasn’t as hot as what you’ve got, but he still handled it surprisingly well. Lay down in the shade a lot and drank plenty of water.

I want one for myself, too. He’s a wild one, though. I feel the need to share this with you too. 11:30 pm. Nordic summer. Probably heading to bed soon. Hope you all have a great day and a fantastic evening!

Thank you, Parker. ❤️

Hey, everybody. Out at my aunt’s summer place today. Little island on a lake. 25°C in the water. Heaven in this heat. Also, this is Loke. He’s a lapphund and he wishes you all a good day! And so do I.

Morning, DiC. Happy Friday! Since I appear to have missed meme day yesterday, here are a couple of funnies I found on Facebook to brighten your morning. Hope you all have a great day!

We've already talked about this and you know what I think and how I feel. And as someone who appears high functioning even when I'm not (and I often don't know how to let that mask slip irl, even with the people I should, like my therapist and social workers and so on), I know that feeling of having to allow yourself to feel it, to break and to depend on others when you're usually the one who's dependable. One thing I'm grateful for is how I'm allowed to let the mask slip when I talk to you. I'm glad you have Kevin and his love to lift you up. Glad you can depend on him. You deserve that. You of all people truly deserve that.

Morning, everyone. Just popping in to say hi. Hope you all have a good day!

1. i dreamt you said you loved me which is funny because you don’t really know me we’re drops of water in the sea, you and i indescribably far away but then one day maybe we will touch and maybe you will love me as i will love you 2. i dreamt the world was kind a place of love and sweetness and in it, you could rest and i saw you there, among the flowers eyes shining and bright you were whole and happy and safe

I love the form of this poem. The three lines per stanza, the repeated syllable count. It adds weight to your message, I think.
