Bedtime for me. Goodnight, DiC.

We'll see what happens, won't we? And yeah, it doesn't seem very likely that Daniel's grandparents are much better now than they were when their daughter left. Thanks so much for commenting, and I'm glad you enjoy my writing! ❤️

I can understand that. They are his family, though, and they literally have a legal claim. Daniel doesn't want to go, but he feels like he's forced to and he doesn't want to put the people he cares about through all that trouble for what may turn out to be futile.

I love audiobooks. I find I don't have as much time to sit down and read as I used to, so I listen to audiobooks on my commutes and when travelling. As for good queer stories I've found on Audible, Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, More Tales of the City, and Further Tales of the City (the first and third performed by the talented Frances McDormand and the second by Cynthia Nixon) are all available there. There's also an audio version of André Aciman's Call Me By Your Name there, narrated by Armie Hammer who was in the movie. And I really enjoyed L. C. Rosen's Jack of Hearts (And Other Parts) which I got recommended on here somewhere (can't currently recall by whom) and found in audio version. If you like young adult stuff at all, I also recommend John Green and David Levithan's Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Those are the ones currently in my library.

I feel good about myself today. Just posted a new chapter of Storms. I feel like I'm really getting back to writing!

...It had to be in California, didn't it? -
Thanks, Mark. Yeah, there are quite a few things yet to happen, with all our protagonists. The next chapter is one of Michael's. Thank you so much for commenting!

I carefully unwrapped the rectangular box. I’ve never been one to tear the paper off a gift, always taking my time. Maybe it’s because I never really got many presents as a child, so I savoured the ones I did get. My eyes widened as the paper fell away. I looked up at Stephen and Lewis, who sat on the sofa facing me, smiling. ‘You guys got me a smartphone?’ ‘We figured it was time you had one,’ said Lewis. ‘You know, so you can keep in touch with your friends more easily. You could do vi

Life goes on. Slowly at first, it takes time, but it goes on. And that's a beautiful and comforting thing.

Weekly Wrap Up (Jul. 7 - Jul. -13)

There's a place in Norway called Hell. Tourists find it hilarious. The train station is a tourist destination because it has an old sign that reads, 'Gods expedition', right above a door. Which means customs office, basically (gods = goods), but in English it becomes really funny and it's a popular photo op. Hell is actually a landscape description, one I'm struggling to translate right now. It means something that's slanted. It also means luck. There is, however, a ravine elsewhere called Helvete, which actually means hell. -
Hope you're both okay. Good morning, DiC.

Evening, everyone! I've been out again. Two nights in a row, holy shit... I don't do this, lol. Went clubbing. Altern80s. It's a club concept with 80s new wave, post punk, synth pop and stuff like that. It was fun. I danced a little. Talked to some friends. Now home and getting ready for bed. Hope you all had/are having a good Saturday! Goodnight.

Wow, this is really great! He did a good job, and so did you in writing it. ❤️

Evening, everyone. Just got home from the party. It was good. I got to talk to quite a few people I haven't seen in a while. Off to bed now. Goodnight! Enjoy your Friday night!

@Valkyrie mentions social media. That's an important point, I think. GA has a Twitter account, but you post to it only a couple of times per week, and it never interacts with anybody. Twitter can be a really powerful platform (the Twitter writing community has given me both readers of my work and a couple of patrons) when used right, but much like GA you get out of it what you put into it. Interacting with queer writers and the queer community on Twitter might be a good way to attract both readers and writers to the site.

Morning, DiC! Happy Friday! I'm going to a birthday party tonight. Old friend turns 30. I haven't actually seen him in a couple of years as I've become a recluse and he and his girlfriend moved up north. I'm a bit nervous about going. There will be a lot of people there I know, including my ex-boyfriend, and I've hardly seen any of them in literally years. I am going, though! Hope you all have a good day.

It's been quiet in here today, huh? I'm off to bed (way too late again, I have to stop playing Stellaris after midnight...). Goodnight, DiC!

Huh, I forgot about that question when I commented, lol! I had GA suggested to me by a reader on a different site. Can't even recall who it was now... But I'm really grateful I followed the suggestion. No one was reading my original stuff on that other site, just my fanfic. When I came here I was so well received by the community almost at once and welcomed with open arms. I love the way we're able to communicate with our readers, get feedback, and be part of a community. It hurt to be away while I wasn't able to write for two years. Coming back was like coming home.

Morning, DiC! How are you all? Today I am doing chores. The kitchen is a mess. Then hopefully I'll get some more writing done. Got through a good bit of chapter 40 yesterday. Getting to the last leg of the book, the final obstacles my characters have to face. I was planning on going for a run today, but I think it may be too hot. Have a nice day, everyone!

Bedtime for me as well. Goodnight, all!

I cried the first time I edited it. Cried a bit this time, too. You have a way of making us feel, Wayne. It's beautiful.

I think the club consolidation with everything writing related going into the writer's club made a lot of sense. That was a good idea. It was weird to suddenly find gaming stuff in The Lounge, lol! But it makes sense to drop forums that don't get a lot of activity.

Aww, that's too bad... Or lucky, depending on your definition, cause it is literally figuratively crack, lol!

You know, I've read this before, and it's not unknown at all. It was actually originally something someone wrote on tumblr. The original post is here. Tumblr wisdom, man... Sometimes it happens.
