Off to D&D. Ex-flatmate dropped by with my tuna. Now she’s talking a hole in my head on the bus... this will be much easier to deal with when we haven’t lived together for a while... lol!

Awesome. We had PCs at home when I was a kid cause my dad was a programmer and built computers as well. I got my first one of my own in '95, but I can't recall a time we didn't have at least two functioning computer and sooooo many parts in the house. I used to sit in his study and play with circuit boards. I pretended they were cities, lol! But we've gotta stop now cause we are waaaaaay

Well... When I get like that, I like to think of it as a battle against my brain. That's not the same as weakness, because if you weren't fighting you wouldn't feel that way at all.

Just as an FYI... I'm noticing that I'm kind of anxious and irritable today. So please, please, please let me know if I get obnoxious so I can adjust accordingly. Cause I worry that my fingers may be quicker than my brain today.

Coolness. I've been a mac user since I got my first laptop nearly fifteen years ago (iBook) but I keep learning new things. EDIT: When I wrote app the word I was really looking for was 'function' but it wouldn't come just then... Oh well.

My ex-boyfriend and I were banned from teaming up in both Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit, cause we kept winning, lol! My favourite part of the MacOS dictionary app is the 'learn spelling' option. I use quite a few foreign names and the like, and even more in my fanfic. Get sick of seeing that red squiggly line in Scrivener when I haven't actually misspelled anything... Defenestration (and its derivatives) is one of my favourite words in the English language. I love, love, love it! But I didn't mention it here because I don't find it beautiful, exactly... More like fun.

No restaurants in my family, but we all cook. A lot of my 'signature' dishes I've learnt from my mum, though I experiment more with them than she does. I've also learnt a lot from my uncle who's a chef by education, though not by trade. He taught me how to make the most amazing omelettes. I also have a friend who studied in Japan and has a degree in Japanese language, history and culture, and she knows a bunch of recipes for Japanese dishes (and makes the most amazing onigiri, omg). So yeah. Cooking and food is central to my life. -
