  1. Yeah, not too bad today. Flatmate moved all her stuff out. Just boyfriend and me now.
  2. They're tasty. And reasonably healthy. I buy them in Sweden, they don't even have them in Norway, sadly...
  3. I'm snacking on peanut rings. Bought some when I was last in Sweden. I love them, but you can't get them here. They're actually pretty healthy as snacks go, too.
  4. I am snacking on peanut rings.
  5. Hm... Are you gonna drive under the sea? Are boats an option? Goodnight, Marty! Lol, I'm one timezone over, it's past 2 here. I should probably think about sleep soon, too...
  6. Or just serve them proper food... Odds are they'll like it just fine once they taste it. Easier said than done, though, I know.
  7. It's yummy. A tiny bit tangier than cranberry sauce, I think... Though maybe that's just the way I cook it, I prefer less sugar. The IKEA stuff is a lot sweeter than what I make myself. EDIT: If you ever have leftovers from a roast or something, pytt is like the easiest thing ever to make. We always have it around Christmas, with the leftover ham. Eating is important. I love shepherd's pie! Make it quite often myself. 'tis yummy. Also: Hi, Wayne! Welcome to the DiC!
  8. Ooh, yum... We had a dish called pytt i panna today. It's diced meat, potato, and onion fried up in a pan. Leftover foods. Served with sunny side up eggs and, traditionally, pickled beets, though we didn't have any so we had lingonberry jam with it instead. It was yummy.
  9. Either way, if someone's gonna move or do something with your toilet, scrubbing it beforehand is just common decency, really.
  10. Very true. Thank you, tim.
  11. Well, if you wanna fly over to Norway for your appointments, I'll put in a good word with her.
  12. Yup. Sex ed works. Fewer serious STIs on average, too (though of course there are some spread easily even with condom use). And, interestingly, fewer unwanted pregnancies = fewer abortions. Who knew?

What a sweet poem! Some people surprise you. There is beauty in this world, in humans. I really love this. That story you linked to is very upsetting, though. It's like when scholars are like, 'Nooo, Shakespeare wasn't bisexual, those 126 sonnets he wrote to a young man were platonic!' Sigh... History was written by straight people.
  17. Ouch. Did the updates get interrupted maybe?
  18. I've been lactose intolerant since my late teens. Runs in my family. Mind you, about 80% of the world's population are lactose intolerant. You guys are the mutants, not me, lol! Took a while to get lactose free products here, but now we have milk, cream, sour cream, creme fraiche, a few different kinds of yoghurts, and they keep making more as demand goes up. The lactose free options are more expensive, though. Like lactose free milk is more than twice the price as regular, but it is what it is. OMG, that sounds amazing!
  19. A very sweet chapter. It was nice for them to be able to go out on a dinner date. I'm glad they had fun. I understand Ian's concerns... It's not the same, but I live with mental illness and just had to quit my degree because of it. That uncertainty about the future is something I can relate to. This was wonderful as ever. Thank you!
  20. Greek yoghurt is amazing. I should buy it more often, but the lactose free kind is expensive...
