    Chapter 44

Cruel fate that delayed me from this chapter all day . Matt is still a volcano I see...only this time it's an explosion of self awareness and a lava flow of realizing the priority divide he and Wade have been experiencing these past several months. It was moving to experience his epiphany and while I'm sad at Cam's potential heart break over this development, I am hoping Mark Arbour will make sure Cam gets his HEA to compensate for the loss. Beautiful work, mahalo.

    Chapter 15

Dirty dealings are afoot. George's luck is a double edged sword at times. Fascinating work.
  3. Miles Long

    Chapter 14

Nice to see Bertie again and it's even nicer that he has redeemed himself mostly. The Wilcox family seems to have no sense of self preservation...oh well it's fun to watch a baddie fall. Thanks.
  4. Miles Long

    Chapter 13

I'm relieved Francis is on the mend. Thanks.
  5. Miles Long

    Chapter 12

I completely forgot to rib Mr. Arbour last chapter about his choice of code...4-20 . Calvert and Lennox better end up okay.
  6. Miles Long

    Chapter 11

I love Granger naval action as much as I love his other exploits, exhilarating!
  7. Miles Long

    Chapter 10

Similar to certain parents who sell their motorcycles when they have children, George needs to learn that as captain the overly risky fun must be passed over because his responsibilities are much greater.
  8. Miles Long

    Chapter 9

I love daunting challenges; it's where George shines.

    Chapter 18

Finally Granger breaks his stoic character a bit and cuts loose and explains things to the Elgin's. How absolutely crass of Lady Elgin to bring that scandal up, I almost wish Major Treadway would have demanded Lord Elgin fight to defend his honor. I suspect Elgin was pretty terrified at that prospect. Her accusation that her low birth is the reasoning is absurd. George would not be the beloved naval officer that he is if he were truly that arrogant. Completely gripping work, thanks.

    Chapter 8

A relationship with Calvert requires more patience than with someone of his station or rank. Francis is naïve in so many ways and has a very narrow view of romantic love. Granger with his more flexible sexual perspective will be a challenge for him. Fantastic work.

    Chapter 7

Granger will figure it out; he has remarkably good instincts and Mark Arbour has given him a boundless supply of good luck.
  12. Miles Long

    Chapter 6

Fortuitous rescue indeed. Thanks for the wonderfully complex tale.
  13. Miles Long

    Chapter 5

I have a feeling this is one of those fortuitous rescues.
  14. Miles Long

    Chapter 4

Calvert has a very innocent streak to him. It's a bit refreshing after all the schemers.
  15. Miles Long

    Chapter 3

Problems from the purser are never good interruptions. Compelling work, thanks.
  16. Miles Long

    Chapter 2

Wow, Carmody is blowing it big time! Very disappointing.
  17. Miles Long

    Chapter 1

Ah the introduction of Francis Calvert and Dr. Jackson two of my favorite characters. Great start to the latest story in the Grangerverse. Thanks.
  18. Mark Arbour makes this period in history really come alive even for those of us who may not immediately embrace this genre. It's a fabulous read and the perfect balance of erotic, romance, and exciting military action. Thank you Mr. Arbour again for sharing your version of history.

    Chapter 25

Granger's star is flying so high, new baby (son to boot), good family, loyal friends and now a ship to call his own. Nice wrap up to the story.
  20. Miles Long

    Chapter 24

Childbirth can be one of the greatest events in a parent's life, George seems to be the kind of spirit to recognize that opportunity.
  21. Miles Long

    Chapter 23

Whew hoo to Travers on his promotion. Huzzah to George for being a long term guy and not a short term profiteer. Kudos to Arbour for making this all so engrossing.
  22. Miles Long

    Chapter 22

George is learning quickly, and I love his father's Frank explanation...a nicer way of saying "Life's not fair, suck it up and capitalize on that fact when it's unfairness is in your favor."
  23. Miles Long

    Chapter 21

I like Caroline. She seems to be a very good match for George.
  24. Miles Long

    Chapter 20

If things ran smoothly on their own accord the world wouldn't need people like Granger.
  25. Miles Long

    Chapter 19

George is a beacon of hope to the wounded kittens in the fleet. I wonder how long his resolve will last, every hero needs an Achilles heel. Thanks.
