    Chapter 9

This is where I wish I knew more about the physics of sailing, but despite my nautical ignorance I was complete engrossed in the battle. Thanks.
  2. Miles Long

    Chapter 8

Who would have thought that the eldest Granger brother would have more charming friends than Bertie? I guess in some cases opposite attract.
  3. Miles Long

    Chapter 19

I wonder if there are politicians/officers/aristocrats turning in their graves over the interesting spin Arbour has made of their lives. Thanks for the work.
  4. Miles Long

    Chapter 7

George is a great character because he does the right thing even if it's hard and he has the greatest adventures.
  5. Miles Long

    Chapter 6

Even with today's technological advances, people still can't get things done in 30 minutes .
  6. Miles Long

    Chapter 5

Darby seems lime a sweet boy, but I think his parents did him a disservice by isolating him so much. He seems a bit naïve.
  7. Miles Long

    Chapter 4

I'll miss Travers, but there is no war without sacrifice. Great work, thanks.
  8. Miles Long

    Chapter 3

Even though I knew this was coming I still find myself choked up over the loss of George's first love. Excellent handling of a difficult situation.
  9. Miles Long

    Chapter 2

One irritant down, just one reporter to eliminate and maybe George can have his peace back for a bit.
  10. Miles Long

    Chapter 1

No rest for Sir George. Great start.

    Flux

When 911 was finished, I was done with Matt and a tiny bit annoyed with the author for creating another broken Hayes boy. Now that I have finished Flux and taken some time to ruminate, I happily type that Matt (and the author we will refer to as Mark Arbour) have been completely redeemed. While Flux offers us so much more in terms of character growth from the likes of Brad and Will, it is the reunion of Wade and Matt that really sparkles most brightly IMHO. Flux is a brilliant title as this story really manifests that concept of continuous flow. Thank you to the team who worked so diligently to pull this together. I eagerly await the next story in the saga.
  12. Like the books preceding this I found HMSB to be a great story to get lost in for a little while. Being so much longer it left a lot of ties open to be picked up on in the following books making Bridgemont an addictive series. Thank you for this creative take on history.

    Chapter 44

How can it be over so soon? Sir George has a lovely ring to it and having Granger knighted was a great way to end the story.
  14. Miles Long

    Chapter 43

Davina is trouble, and creepy too.
  15. Miles Long

    Chapter 42

I didn't realize that admirals could just override their orders and go home in times of war . It's much safer that way.
  16. Miles Long

    Chapter 41

Granger's good karma has saved him yet again.
  17. Miles Long

    Chapter 40

Sometimes the cost of good fortune can be taxing, but life's unfairness rewards us as often as it punishes us. While I'm sad that the love George has for Travers has waned, I'm not surprised given how young they both were.
  18. Miles Long

    Chapter 39

Granger left Spain with all kinds of gifts.
  19. Miles Long

    Chapter 38

George's restlessness drives him to do great things.
  20. Miles Long

    Chapter 37

George is such a soft touch sometimes.
  21. Miles Long

    Chapter 36

Order of crow for the Bey of Oran please.
  22. Miles Long

    Chapter 35

The thought of the sharks is one of the most gruesome images in this whole series. Excellent story telling, thank you.
  23. Miles Long

    Chapter 34

Instead of Mann, Granger is dangled in front of the French. Wonderful work, thanks.
  24. Miles Long

    Chapter 33

Granger makes the right enemies, rescues the right people, he is made of good luck.
  25. Miles Long

    Chapter 32

How is it that Granger is not only lucky in love but lucky in finding open spaces to express that love in?
