    Chapter 6

Matt's vanity has now cost him Wade's trust. I wonder how much more he has to lose before he wakes up?
  2. Miles Long

    Chapter 5

Matt has always been selfish, but somehow just lovable enough to let that fact slide. This Carl thing however, really highlights just how little Wade's input/feelings matter to him. He's on the cusp of a Robbie size credibility catastrophe.

    Chapter 4

Ah to be fourteen again and blow everything out of proportion . I think Jeanine had some issues before getting pregnant and this just opened Pandora's box.
  4. Miles Long

    Chapter 3

Gathan is actually a better fit for Wade, too bad love doesn't work that way.
  5. Miles Long

    Chapter 2

Wade and Tiffany protecting Riley from the storm that is their life.
  6. Miles Long

    Chapter 1

I've missed Wade's perspective, so it's great to have him back. Another tumultuous kick off that sucks the reader in, fantastic start.
  7. Channelling Will, this story was "hella tight" Mark Arbour, thanks dude.

    Chapter 46

I'd forgotten how abruptly this story ends. When I first read Poor Man's Son, I was sure that Zach and friends set Kristin up and while I still kind of do, I no longer feel it was as nefarious as I felt before. If Kristin didn't make out with Randy, she wouldn't have had to worry about being considered a tease (not that that is ever a reason to be forced into doing something). I think that in his own selfish way, Zach cares for Gathan and did miss him. Of all the brother/cousins Gathan is the only other one that "has it going on" in terms of sophistication. Zach probably feels stifled with Wally and Clara's small town mindset.

    Chapter 45

Good for Robbie stopping the judgy Schluter-Crampton crap. They badger Will to act his age and then when he does they badger him to grow up. This is where Robbie really shines.

    Chapter 44

Tony is gay; he needs to be in therapy to help him accept that and not be so melodramatic. We all have issues with our parents.

    Chapter 43

Exciting tension between the players. I love a well written hockey play and that one had me on the edge of my seat.

    Chapter 42

This is where Matt starts to really lose my respect in the series. His attitude as Captain and towards Gathan show a real lack of maturity that extends through the next couple of books. It seems odd that they wouldn't just induce if Jeanine had started the process to the extent that would require a hospital visit. Even the cadillac of hospitals don't want to see pregnant women until they're about to pop. Will is gonna do what Will is gonna do.

    Chapter 41

Wade's smart but Tony is soooooooooooooo not worth the effort.
  14. Miles Long

    Chapter 40

Good lay or not, Will should have kept that asshat at arms length.
  15. Miles Long

    Chapter 39

Tony seems full of crap even now. Ella also seems on the verge of not handling her new found fortune as gracefully as others.
  16. Miles Long

    Chapter 38

Will stay at arms length. You'll be much happier.
  17. Miles Long

    Chapter 37

Ugh Tony! I'm sure I've written that before . I've been really enjoying this re-read of Poor Man's Son (abbreviating it just makes me giggle too much). Thanks. For all the work.

    Chapter 36

Gathan insistence on paying Stef back goes a long way to calming JP's concerns about the money going to Gathan's head.
  19. Miles Long

    Chapter 35

Gathan's on a very dangerous path. Will (dramatic sigh) not everything is about you.
  20. Miles Long

    Chapter 34

JP is okay so all is right in CAP Land. Appropriateness aside Will shenanigans with Patrick are disrespectful on a level that exceeds the kind of respect that one earns. No one should have to be violated at work because some rich little brat can't take a joke. As much as I empathize with Will's perspective, he took a credibility hit with that stunt.

    Chapter 33

Not Gathan's finest moment, but frankly Hendrickson wasn't all that impressive either.
  22. Miles Long

    Chapter 32

Darius seems to be the archetypical good guy. I enjoyed the chance at seeing him as more than some dude mooning over Ella Hayes.

    Chapter 21

Irrational gesture on Brad's part, but damn is it one of the grandest gestures to honor Robbie with. Great choice, Mark Arbour. Now on to something lighter...Matt's little diatribe: “When you’re in a relationship, you’re responsible for someone, and to someone. You’re responsible for them in that you have to care about them, watch out for them, and not hurt them. And you’re responsible to them because you can’t just do what you want to do; you have to coordinate things with them. So it’s not about fucking everything that moves. It’s about freedom to do what I want.” That he's has the audacity to say any of that with a straight face is HILARIOUS. When Matt and Wade were together Matt was the king of doing what Matt wanted to do regardless of the impact on Wade's feelings. Really, how was being with Wade any different than being single from Matt's perspective? My take was that Matt didn't really want Wade until it was over between them, so this quasi Declaration of Independence comes off a bit ridiculous. Internal giggling aside, thanks again for another terrific chapter.
  24. Miles Long

    Chapter 31

Will is braver than most; Brad though was surprisingly cool, unlike the Hendricksons.
  25. Miles Long

    Chapter 30

JP kicks ass and Stef's no slouch either.
