I think it's going to be a race to see who is the bigger horn-dog, J or M. Waiting for after school will become easier I hope before things go too far. Poor Denny, babysitting teens was never my favorite job! Benny is a good guy who's always worried about other people since he's been bigger than everyone else for so long. I could see his mom telling him to be careful when he was in pre-school, and having that stick with him. He and Cal definitely need to talk. I'm glad his story worked for you--it seemed reasonable to me...now we just have to find Greg's love interest.

    Chapter 31

Loving the story, but I'm afraid Thomas is going to be hurt by these predatory bitches. He's too nice a guy for them--let Colt and Matt have them instead. I don't think Colt has the staying power to make a good boyfriend, and we know that Matt only cares about getting off, despite his supposed 'love' for Andy. Yep, Thomas and Andy are set to be the big losers in the upcoming chapters, and neither deserves any more pain. Andy has come so far, yet he is still fragile. More please!!

POV: Mikey, Greg I stared at Greg as if he’d suddenly sprouted a second head—where did people come up with this shit? My part of the fight, except for the brief swing with my book bag that only made Timmy Zane madder, was mostly confined to lying on the ground after throwing up my lunch after the big goon hit me. Denny had been the more effective one, holding Zane back until Benny grabbed him. In all my eleven years of school, I’d never been the focus of attention unless it was to be picked
  4. I think Aki did very well for a first-time parent--he's picking up a lot of help from Ishca which is a plus where teens are concerned. I was pretty sure that that would be Hel's reaction...no teen wants to be different, and he's already had a bad time with his wolf, so adding the idea of being gay is sure to panic him. Maybe it's time for Ishca to handle this part? More please!
  5. Crikey, G-Man! No effing way!! Dreading the next one, but keenly anxious also.
  6. Great chapter, Tim...I wonder if the guys will get any major flack from the coffee shop Monday? I hope not, but there were several 'dicks' on the team who are likely too stupid to know better than to cause trouble--they did it on the diamond, after all. Can you give us some idea of the town's size and location? If it's small, then the existence of a GSA is not likely. Columbus, with a million people, has only a few schools with chapters. My home town of now about 5,000 still doesn't have one though I graduated nearly forty years ago. More please!
  7. Nice to see Oscar and Oliver again, though I wish it were under better circumstances for Oscar. Next time, we get Oliver's party and big moment, right? I'm rooting for him! More please!
  8. Wow, Gary, this pulls all the heart-strings for a beautiful love song. I sense Kendall brushing down his white charger to help Jeremy find someone to fill his life. I wonder if Michael and Arron know of another gay cop? Seriously worth the wait, and champing at the bit for the next one already!

    Chapter 30

What is it with girls who think they can fix something that isn't broken? They seem to think that the universe revolves around them and no one else matters. Zoey and Megan are so stupid, and they are going to cause needless trouble. As for Andy and Matt--why can both of them say 'I love you', but Matt hears something different from Andy? Andy has changed, and I think he truly does love Matt...but Matt isn't hearing him in the present, he's hearing him through the ears of the past. He's trying to rationalize himself out of having a relationship with Andy because deep down, he doesn't want to be gay. If anyone is going to screw up his chance of a happy future, it's him, not Andy. He needs to realize that the gender of the one you are meant to be with doesn't matter, so long as you are happy; he's being very cruel to Andy and I hope it doesn't take losing Andy for hiim to come to his senses. Of course, if that happens, he'll blame Andy for being fickle.
  10. I use one of those scoops even today--that and one that looks like a large spoon from the Marathon gas company. The normal one scoops about a standard ball, then you push down this tab near the scoop part, and it pivots the other half of the tab into the scoop to push the ice cream out. Very simple, very sturdy, and both are from my childhood.Dang, I forgot to explain those-they are like names boxers would have, Jay for short punches, and Denny for being agile. Rudolph, Denny covered by objecting to Dancer as it was Santa's reindeer, so Jay said that because Denny was turning red like Rudolph.

    Chapter 3

Come on wolf, you stop THERE?! Next chapter, tomorrow right? I suppose there's no chance that with Nique dead, Spencer will feel satisfied.... More please!

    Chapter 17

What a great chapter--you just keep me wanting more after each one...I don't know how I can hold out until the next post. I am drooling over the conversation Barega and Akama will have with Yirgella--and maybe Padilpa should be looked into, or another instructor be found for them? More please, my friend!
  13. I'm glad I could generate smiles for you--and also that you liked the new perspective from Greg.Developing drama? Me? Maybe...but it's going to fit into the story and not be gratuitous. Now if you want drama, I can only point to someone's scary attack on Alkere Station.
  14. What's the old Joni Mitchell line--'you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone'...so true of Bobby. The question comes up: you may be able to forgive, but can you forget? Trust again.Greg was an enigma to me for a while, which is why I spent so much time behind the lunch counter... Then I remembered the blond loner in the fatigues, and it felt right that Greg would have talked to him...Benny's Cal was probably going to be one of the quiz guys at the school entrance, but this too morphed into Cal being the blond guy...I told you the chapter got weird near the end--meaning it wasn't at all how I thought it would be. I'm so glad it worked and people seem to like Greg more. Of course, I haven't the faintest idea how he knows that Benny will accept Cal's feelings!
  15. I guess the one blessing being shy has is that I didn't go through all the angst Hel is over James. My crushes were of two kinds: teen idols likke David Cassidy and David Bowie, clearly impossible, and cute boys at school I'd never approach. It helped that I knew what I wanted eventually and didn't have to fret over the girls or boys dilemma...just biding my time until a boy became possible. Me and my best friend from down the street, when we were about 13 would hang out all the time, play on the swing in my backyard, play in the treehouse across the street, and roam the fields and hang out by one of the streams near our houses. I remember always being attracted to him, and we'd lay in the treehouse's middle platform side by side, talking and occasionally rubbing our socks together. There was one time in my room when we dared to 'show our stuff', and he opened and lowered his pants, and I lost my nerve when he went to pull down his white jockeys. What a dork I was!
  16. I'm glad you like Dr. Greg. So far, he's kept his secrets to himself, not telling others who the gay kids are...but what will he do if/when Jay and Miles ask him to help with Operation Boyfriend? We have to remember that all gossip, good or bad, is of fleeting impact--it may color later opinions, but another topic will eventually arise. I had thought of doing a whole chapter from Greg's perspective, but wonder if it is really necessary...a topic for the discussion group?
  17. Don't worry Tim, plenty of straight wrestlers around. The question is was he dating Linda for cover, or was he figuring things out? Seems too nice for it to be the former reason.High schools here are so full of crap that people are almost never themselves--you have to 'fit in' to a clique or be a 'loser'--that was true even in '76, probably more so. The sad part about Bobby and Timmy is that he's given up his popular position for his friend, and will now be on the fringes...a true test of his mettle as a good guy. I have a feeling that the Army may be Zane's only hope. I'm so glad you like Greg--since his first appearance, I've felt sort of guilty that he was being short-changed...there had to be more to him than dirty phone calls, and I'm hoping one thing he will do is find a boy for himself.
  18. The fight certainly stirred things up, but then, not much goes on in small schools which is unexpected. Kids have known each other for years.Jay may have trouble focusing sometimes, but he's on top of things he cares about...and he can spot BS a mile away, which is why the gossip is annoying him. As for Greg, I didn't want him to be just about phone sex--he needed a reason to do that, and we now see what it is--a wish for other people to be happy, especially if they're gay. With his public low-key image, he can be brash in private, which is a plus with his 'crusade'.
  19. POV: Jay, Jay, Jay, Greg “Tak for mad,” Denny said when he laid down his fork for the last time…he’d enjoyed the meal a great deal, though I saw he was still a bit shy about joining in the conversation over the table. Mor and far smiled and both said “Velbekomme,” as they’d done the first time Mikey came to dinner on Saturday. A lot of joking had gone on since the steaks had been left until nearly the last minute before far remembered that was what we were having for dinner, and we w

    Chapter 29

Great chapter...I'm glad Colton finally got the idea, but it sounds like there are some trying times ahead. I hope Andy isn't the instigator this time, because I think he's really trying to be what Matt is looking for. More please!
  21. Man, you don't do anything by halves, Tim. You have given us such insights into Russ and Evan and Jacob that they've surged into the realm of three-dimensional existence. Heartbreak, laughter and tears, and the restoration of what had been an intense emotional and spiritual bond between the brothers...well worth the wait, my friend.

    Chapter 2

Gary posits some good questions, and I hope we will find the answers. For an ex-soldier, Damon doesn't seem to get what needs t obe done as a hunted creature, while Dom is more practical. Unfortunately, I don't like either of the two vampires at this point...Tyler was always a great character, and I hate to see him treated this way. I hope the two vampires can learn better manners. More please!
  23. Dirck and Rosalie certainly are good at their job...many more moments with them coming up this weekend. I thought the truck scene was nice, since it reminded me of when I was working on the body of my '55 Pontiac, pictured in Chapter 3...Mikey's house is exactly like the one I grew up in on its acre-sized lot in the country. Farms and fields all around, with 'town' being a mile away, if you can call 2500 people a town.
  24. Yet another great chapter, Sasha...these guys are forming a true family from what society considers outcasts. The Rectory system is a wonderful idea, and your world is so believable that I wish I could walk down the street and visit it. Ishca's growth is wonderful to see--all he needed was to find the right person he thought worthy of his efforts. When you have that, anything is possible. Aki too, has changed--he's let some of the life he puts into his pottery seep into his own life again, forming connections outside himself thanks to Hel and Ishca. I am a bit concerned about Hel discovering his true self--he's finally accepting his 'wolf self', but accepting that he's gay might be harder to do if he's been indoctrinated in that area like he was with his supernatural self. Ishca and James are going to be very important in this stage of self-discovery. One thing--I am still confused by the nature of 'Ig'...so much so that I wonder if he's a real person and not some separate part of Ishca's mind. Perhaps Ishca could think about him more so we have some clues as to what kind of supernatural creature Ig is? More please!

    Chapter 16

A disturbing chapter, Iarwain...but our principal characters are safe. I'm going to hope that Yirgella's newest priority will be security and defense, and stricter control of the airspace over the Community. I don't believe this is a religious-inspired attack, but one from the Directed countries or corporations...it's far too co-ordinated, especially with the destruction of the controlled-AIs as well. My heart was beating like crazy over Mirri's safety.
