    You are getting the hang of it quite well. You're right about Twyla, for example. She saw flaws or inconsistencies, and they abound. Sure, the story is complex, but we will take apart each knot carefully together. We are already resolving one problem in the next chapter. Thanks for the lovely comments and insight.     It was pretty sad, so I needed to do something positive. Christian surviving is a bit of a miracle, but he was hit with a laptop so there's that. Thanks for the support.

    fe Let's see if I can answer how I envision it. I think Christian will recover but there is probably some damage. Darren most certainly didn't make the call. He's featured in the latest prompt Salvation Road. The woman getting married is his nurse. His mother is there with him too. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Check out the last segment.

    This is fascinating and makes me ponder. I’m gay, and quite proud of it. I’ve been through lots of times when it wasn’t okay. Of course, being gay is mainstream now. When I came out, the community was our only refuge. I think of those dances when I met my first love and the Park. I lived in that era when it wasn’t cool, but we were open. I remember when gay pride parades were a place to be ourselves. Safe. Not scary. Like now. Thanks for asking. It makes me think.

    There are always complicated ways we get to being who we are. Sometimes our reactions are a mixture. You are right about Twyla coping. That's exactly what she's doing. It's hard to remember good times when we are mourning. I'm glad Ben, Rush and Clay are making you happy. They are interesting. Thanks for the great insights!

    Absolutely true. People have a mix of aspects and sometimes we don't see them right away. Eddie and Nats are the same. Lots of water running under those bridges. Thanks for the awesome comments!

    This is a complex situation. I tend to write as realistically as possible and so many times things that don't relate seem to in cases. I'm posting a new chapter today, and they we are getting closer to the last section when the chaff gets blown away. Winnie was as good a mother as she could be, I think. She tried, but lots of things got in her way and of course, who gets hurt? The kids. But then kids are resilient. Very good comments. Thanks!!!

    Very insightful comments. There are many undercurrents and conflicts that affect all kinds of relationships in the gay community. Certainly Christian knew something was up, but he was surprised at what it was. Darren's attack on Christian wasn't warranted at all. But it's human and all too common. Lashing out in fear at loss of something is dangerous. Please check out the next prompt because the June one called Private Speech is the next part of this saga.     Thanks Valkyrie! Yes, it's quite violent and abrupt. Unfortunately, domestic abuse occurs in all facets of society. I'm not sure what will happen with Darren, but I'm sure justice will be done.
