  1. Thank you so much for such a lovely review of Button. I appreciate the kind words and hope people enjoy the story.
  2. That was sad too! I guess we both went there with this prompt. Yours had a happy ending though. Mine, not so much. Great job.
  3. What’ll I do… “Is anyone sitting here?” the woman asked, leaning so close Thad her flowery perfume filled his sinuses. “No,” he said, scooting over and picking up his Walkman off the cushion, the headphones and cord wrapped around the tape player. “The bus is getting pretty full,” she said unnecessarily. There were only a few seats open that he could see. The cigarette smoke and noise of people settling in was overwhelming him. He’d hoped for a quiet, tranquil ride to Chattanooga,
  4. LOL! When faced with bizarre ideas, I usually just giggle about it and smile. It takes all kinds I guess. Thanks!
  5. Hahahaha!!! Actually the language was the opposite. Their group wanted to ban all state-sanctioned marriages. He was just one of the nuttier ones. Thanks!!!
  6. It was a petition banning all marriage!!!!! That was his answer to 'freeing and liberating our sexuality'. I agree with what he should do with the rainbow pin. I just closed the door on him and later I laughed my ass off.
  7. We didn't know how to react! It was such a surreal experience. I laugh about it now.
  8. Very true. There is far too little 'live and let live' today. I was so confused by the guy's theory, but I really didn't want to question him on it. Thanks!!
  9. Yes, I think they are really shocked. The restraint for this couple is the confusion over his bizarre ideas. BTW, true story!!!

    Chapter 25

That's certainly offensive. Dave learned the word somewhere, and the sentiment behind it. It's amazing what people will say, especially privately when they don't expect to be called on it. Great job Valkyrie!
  11. The Petition Prompt - What is the most offensive thing you have ever heard anyone say? “You know, your relationship isn’t real, not really,” the man said, grimly smiling in a condescending sort of manner. Bryan didn’t know how to respond. He could feel Darren’s anger vibrating next to him. There was a wash of blood to his skin, that immediately raised his temperature in the air-conditioned room, a place cooled with wafts of fresh air blowing in from the ceiling. “O
  12. Thank you! It really enforces my approach. I hope you enjoy the story.
  13. I'm hoping Danny is a good guy, but who knows. I love things like this because it sometimes reveals ideas I've never considered. Thanks so much!!!
  14. Haha!!! To me, shoes are the epitome of indulgence. I couldn't care less, yet I hear people talk of shoes and status. Good shoes show quality upbringing. We are exposed by our choice in footwear. It interests me how that translates, and it seems a pair of shoes may expose something. That's all it means, yet it symbolizes so much more. Thanks for helping me flesh out the next chapter!!!
  15. Intriguing take. The twins feel responsible for each other, but something else happened. Let's see what fair may be. I love this little ditty and we will see if it takes me to other places. Thanks!!!
  16. No Rush and maybe Loring Lane. We will see!! Thanks!!!!!
  17. Thanks. That is very true. I appreciate your comment.
  18. Discovery 8 Excerpts from deposition of Novice/Acting Firefighter Brandon Freeman taken on November 23rd 20XX at 9:20 am in the Hennepin County Courthouse, Room F18 For the plaintiff; Twyla Sizemore, as special administrator for the estate of Jacob Ogden: Laura Hardinger of Rivers, Potters, and Associates, et al. For the defendant; Bailey Safety Systems, Naomi Flynn of Cliffton, Ballard and Howe. . . . Hardinger: When you entered the room, what was the first thing you n
  19. I'm not sure what this is referring to. Who's tied up? That's not in this story.
  20. I'm now dancing up and down and singing. I screwed up the presentation. This is the first suggestion of a murder. I'm glad you liked the line. You should be confused. The characters certainly are. That will fall away. We had a wonderful vacation. Thanks Lisa. You are always a wonderful commentator.
  21. Thank you for the review. I love the interaction with the guys and they are becoming a family. There are shadow characters. We know the guy found is important. There are things missing which are important. We had a wonderful vacation and are still processing. It was that good.
  22. I'm glad you're enjoying. I'm posting the next chapter tonight. Thanks so much!!!
  23. We went only to Hawaii, the Big Island, and it was great. We swam with the manta rays, hiked, alot, and swam so much. Really great. Thanks!
  24. We had the best vacation of lives. It was amazing Back to the story. I realize I've revealed a little too much in my comments and discussions. Jake was a cool guy. He was trying to make his life better. He died. Most everyone believed it was an accident. It wasn't. Now we are sorting through the case facts. Rush knows its a murder. Nobody else does. Actually, this is very helpful. Thanks for your comments. They help!!!
  25. True. There are several things floating that are being sorted. Twyla is a pretty together character. She remembers and feels things accurately. Jay has lots to say. He loved his son dearly. The list is key. More evidence will follow. Thanks for the insightful comments!
