    Haha!!! To me, shoes are the epitome of indulgence. I couldn't care less, yet I hear people talk of shoes and status. Good shoes show quality upbringing. We are exposed by our choice in footwear. It interests me how that translates, and it seems a pair of shoes may expose something. That's all it means, yet it symbolizes so much more. Thanks for helping me flesh out the next chapter!!!

    We had the best vacation of lives. It was amazing Back to the story. I realize I've revealed a little too much in my comments and discussions. Jake was a cool guy. He was trying to make his life better. He died. Most everyone believed it was an accident. It wasn't. Now we are sorting through the case facts. Rush knows its a murder. Nobody else does.     True. There are several things floating that are being sorted. Twyla is a pretty together character. She remembers and feels things accurately. Jay has lots to say. He loved his son dearly. The list is key. More evidence will follow. Thanks for the insightful comments!

    Don't get frustrated. The story will continue to flow like the waters of justice. Twyla is remembering her brother, and his words to her. You aren't wrong to consider what she remembers and what the evidence shows. Clay, Ben, and Rush are building something real, and it's not easy. There is always conflict and care, and they don't always get recognized at the same time. Life is messy. Thanks for the awesome comments. You are feeling what the characters feel. That's great. I appreciate the review!

    The lion generally symbolizes courage and the goat in western philosophy is a symbol of shame or object of scorn as in the word, scapegoat. That’s all I’ll say at this point.     I love this prompt response. I was in the restaurant industry for twenty five years and while it’s illegal, lots of bosses want to charge employees for the cost of doing business. There are lots of a-holes running businesses especially food places. I’ve had the same situation and I was always good at such things like addition. Luckily, I met Ran at my work so I hope the protagonist is as fortunate!
