    If it wasn’t for Vera’s intervention I think the out come would have been doubtful.

    The family negotiated to retain the same controls in exchange for Julian’s life. They all retain the same benefits with a few modifications. Their view of Julian remains the same, he’s still not a person to them. Baby steps but far from where they need to be. With Vera by his side at least Ben has a fighting chance, now the ball is in the companies court.

    It’s very creepy to know that someone is going to watch this act of love and reduce it to numbers and decide if it is a marketable commodity.

    Unfortunately that would involve losing his nieces as well. Unless he sues for custody lol

    When your family isn’t really your family but a bunch of people who only use you for their own personal gain. Rachel needs day care, Mason needs an ATM and Diane needs to coordinate the details to ensure the entire system keeps working. Ben should make very clear to them all that if they don’t retract their complaints, what they fear will actually come true. Hopefully the formidable Vera (she was acknowledged to be influential in the decision to enrol Ben) and the innocent nieces will be able to help sway the verdict.

    We know Julian is becoming more human because he also makes mistake like not finding the shirt on the floor. A robot would have done an inventory and immediately catalogued the missing item. Happy that Tessa is on their side and that Julian prevented a meeting with Rachel and Tessa

    If only adults would retain the innocent wisdom of children.

    You have today, tomorrow is not guaranteed. They are treading on fragile ground, let’s hope the stars align so they get to survive. Tessa must be called to get ahead of the situation

    If he has a programmed ‘unit’, at least he should never suffer from ED!

    It probably will come into play at some time and Ben is definitely expecting it because he’s keeping Tessa’s card near at hand.

    With a wonderful, loving person like Vera, you have to wonder what happened for her family to have turned out to be so nasty.

    I don’t know how to feel. Disgust with Ben’s family for using and manipulating him so callously, sympathy for Ben who knows it but is too weak to do anything about it or hopeful for the budding relationship between Ben and Julian. While grief is a real thing and has no timeline I think that his Mom is exploiting this to manipulate Ben. The family should all be in therapy!

    With a mother like that who needs a mother. She is nothing but an enabler for Mason. Julian seems really perceptive for a ‘robot’, more than what his programmers accept as ‘within normal parameters’

    In a predictable life like Ben’s, whatever could possibly go wrong with having a companion robot!

    Never has having ordinary lives sounded so wonderful after all that chaos. People having shed all the contrived performances can finally be their best selves. A very emotional story. As happy as I am for their HEA, I will miss the daily anticipation of reading a new chapter. Thank you

    Only a heartless, self serving a-hole person (I won’t give him the title of father) would treat his son as a chattel to be manipulated like this. His mother couldn’t even fight for him but hides behind not being able to understand him.

    Ryder is the antithesis of what Owen’s parents have always wanted. Their lives are so ordered and perfect; Ryder is definitely not.

    Fighting 18 years of psychological conditioning is very difficult for Owen. It’s like an animal that has been tied with a chain for years doesn’t run even when the chain is removed. The mind thinks that the chain is still there.

    When all the scheming and deception are gone we meet the real person.

    Both boys are slowly expanding their circle of support, first Beth and now Colin.

    Everyone needs a Beth in their life❤️ Nothing like the death of a child to give your life perspective.

    Maybe I should have said that in the absence of love there is only control. Owen is an asset to be managed as a succession plan.
