Very compelling writing that draws one into the feelings and the mystery and poses many questions that need answers. You've hooked me but not sure I want to go into the fantasy realm that it is heading into. Seems were off into the arena of werewolves and such.

I think Fiona is the spunkiest character by far, but I have to say Ben and Asher are the winners for the best characters. They are such a beautiful couple and the picture of them that Rano did is wonderful. Really brings them to life! But you've made Bernie and Martha likeable too, and they surely have a story of their own as well. Yes, you could do a lot to bring Tommy into the story. He is an interesting character with an interesting past, so that could be added in too and capitalized on. Also there's some reason for him being single at this point. How old is he anyway? Definitely lots of questions about him. Then he disappears to visit his friend. Who is this friend? Do we know whether it is male or female even? There's also all the other youngsters in the village that haven't yet been properly introduced and exploited. So plenty of development that can still be explored.

Wow! That was very dramatic but excellently told. Well done! A really exciting and heart-stopping twist to the story that you made very believable and totally convincing.

Your comment reassures me that Tommy's going to be fine with it, but I was worried that he wouldn't. My experience is that you can never tell. The most surprising people are quite accepting and the most surprising people are complete assholes. There's no way of knowing unless you've been able to broach the subject in some round about way to get them to make some indication of where they stand. My heart is still in my mouth for the next step though! Loving the story and the relationship. Certainly gets my romance ticker going!

But it's also to learn and to grow and to expand one's mind and thinking. It's a place of being influenced and influencing (if you write) and it's a place of infinite pleasures of unimaginable delights.

Yes, I agree with Lisa; pretty sure Martha and Bernie are in the picture about Asher and Ben's attraction to each other and are pushing things along quite nicely. As usual you took us through the wiles of Corbin's mind with Lee and with Amanda and with Pete. I stand amazed at how you do that so well. I really like how his relationship with Mike is going and fear for Mike in this. Geez, he's such a nice guy! Let's not punch him on the nose. He doesn't deserve it. So enjoyed the chapter.
