Thank you my friend. The military will determine what Ritch will do and where, but I plan on being there for the important stuff.
-
Thanks, Terry. I will definitely not be. We'll start with revisiting some events until the main series catches up to the timeline. Last we saw CJ outside this story was in 2021, so we have 3 years to go before Ritch has some new adventures.

LMAO! Your first time being first? I could swear it's happened before. I smiled whenever you mentioned something as it compared to your experience. Glad I was able to bring back good memories.

Thank you, Clancy. The characters have taken on a life of their own over the years. You're not alone in imagining how things could be if they were real. -

Because I did not want to stray from Ritch's POV, there are details I couldn't use. Like the dads meeting Will's parents. In future stories, I'll revisit event's from CJ's perspective. That starts with Christmas 2021 in Vail. My goal with both brothers has been to show them as individuals partially shaped by the fathers. I'm glad that comes through. It felt good to write a president with a sense of humor again. -

I guess I did my job well. It's a great compliment when what I write moves readers. -
Thanks, bud. This was a fun story to write, particularly the mix between good people and jerks. We'll periodically return to La Casita

The cadets would never see those hats again. Why bother retrieving them when they were not be part of any uniform they would wear in the Air Force? Pandemonium ensued. While graduates hugged and sought out friends and family, a mass of children swarmed the field to collect the discarded caps. “Look, Uncle Ritch. I got one.” Liebe proudly held her prize out for her uncle. “That’s awesome, munchkin. Did you go out there by yourself?” “Nah, mate.” Owen held the delighted girl in

“I hate shaving. I’m considering converting.” Joel looked funny with blood soaked pieces of toilet paper stuck to his face where he had nicked himself. “You need something better than those cheap-ass, disposable shavers, bro.” Ritch and the others in The Wing had allowed their beards to grow while in California. The day before returning to the Academy, all had taken a trimmer to their facial hair, before using a blade to scrape away the remaining stubble. Joel’s complaint was not new. “And

@BlueWindBoy LMAO CJ's size whatever Wescos could end up inside Chipper. Subtlety is not one of CJ's strengths.

We may see Brock again before that spinoff I mentioned.
-
Brock already showed up in Cadet. Their visit to DC I plan to write about in a future spinoff, but it'll be a while. Carson's story will be one of the last ones I write about The Squad. So far, all the spinoffs start in 2020, and that's what I plan to do with Carson's.

A lot of my drug information these days comes from one of my niece's boyfriends. He's finishing at pharmacist school and shared some of what he's learned. His rotations begin this fall in a college town, and the effects of street drugs' has been part of his curriculum. Opiods are our friends! There've been a couple of instances in my life it it wasn't for a couple of vicodins I could have killed somebody.

Anthology Entry Revisited: Explosions
Carlos Hazday commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Thanks, Renee! -
What? No 'Thanks for the sex scene, Carlos?' CJ wouldn't mind casual drug use, he'd probably be jealous. But let it happen on a regular basis and watch out Chipper. I'm REALLY glad you recognize partaking's normal at Coachella (and most music festivals). I'm definitely too old for those things these days, but I live vicariously through my nieces and their boyfriends. Although I'm told most X is now laced with phentynol so MDMA crystals are the safer option.

The Hawaiian's straight. However, he'll be back. He wants to be on Broadway, so I'm granting him his wish. I have a revival in mind. I think they may do preview runs (or whatever that's called that's not coming to mind right now) in Boston and at the Kennedy Center. Your question may apply then when Aslan takes a bow.

LMAO Only when I initiate said molestation. Think about it. I have 10 chapters of my next book written but my editor won't get to see the first one for a couple of months (he has his own stuff to deal with), and I won't start posting until the entire story's written and at least half edited. It'll be months from now. Wolf writes, I go through his chapters twice, then somebody does a final review. Weekly postings mean 13 chapters every three months and it takes at least a week to get through each of his. Considering this is chapter 14, that means even if I reviewed this one right before he started posting (which wasn't the case) that would have been back in February. Wolf waits to have the story finished before he begins posting. I think you can tell the difference in quality between an author who takes his time to get things right, and those who scribble something and post it the same day or week. Maybe that's why he and I get compliments about quality writing?
-
You tell 'em sis! Although I'm still feeling the effect of partying with a bunch of kids Friday night. Oy vey!
-
I either repeat comments I made to Wolf, except the ones NSFW, or mention something I didn't bother telling him.
-
I wouldn't know how to write something g that wasn't profanity laced.

Driving home yesterday, I was tempted to stop at a rest stop to read the chapter but those places have a reputation and I was scared someone e may try to molest me. Could there be more like her? Maybe subsequent rains and floods were due to to a water Elemental? Is there someone in Australia who pissed off the Elementals High Council? Loved this chapter months ago, and a new reading didn't diminish that.

Nope. I'm not writing more of the sappy/mushy stuff. Coincidentally, yesterday while driving home, I was plotting a story with a little romance in it. I realized my objection's not so much to a sappy scene here and there. I've written plenty of those. But an entire story based on a torturous road to a couple ending together usually makes me barf. I prefer small doses sprinkled through a lot of other stuff. Usually more realistic than two people meeting and being in love a couple of hours later. A couple of people meeting and boinking a couple of hours later is acceptaple, though.

LMAO Four of them actually. Plus assorted, similarly aged boyfriends. My brother, his wife, and the parents of two of those girls (my nieces besties) had a party Friday night to celebrate their law school graduation. Since my brother's the only one living in Atlanta, it was at their place. The aforementioned boyfriend may not be around much longer. -

Thanks, Jeff. This story was meant to show Ritch stepping into adulthood, and I wanted to show how family can influence the way we turn out. Lessons learned at home, whether we realize it or not, are the foundation for the values we hold when we fly on our own.
