  1. LMAO Cool temperature recently have allowed me to open windows. My electricity bill this month will be negligible.
  2. Ritch matures in front of our eyes. Joining the family foundation's board and agreeing to learn how to manage his wealth are signs of his growth. Only six more days until the next one. Make sure you don't miss it, I bring an old friend for a Colorado Springs visit.
  3. I had Brett go through ROTC while attending Berkeley. Unlike some TV personalities/politicians who constantly brag about their wealth even when they probably inflate it, my guys tend to be a bit more restrained about showing off. Hell, Cap and Mr. A led a quiet life out of the public eye until CJ came to live with them. It's their sons who created the circumstances for the fathers to also become public figures. I wanted Ritch to be fine with his wealth, not embarrassed by it. At the same time, I wanted him to be reticent about shouting it out for everyone to know. I wanted to show someone reaching their position in life through hard work instead of by currying favor.
  4. Ritch will always be close and at times under his fathers and brother, but I guarantee by the end of Cadet we'll see him as his own man.
  5. As with Chipper and Brad before, I'm starting most spinoffs after The Squad has spread out for school, the military, or their careers. I'll continuously update their lives in future stories. I'm toying with the idea of each getting their own chapter in a future CJ story. We'll see.
  6. Those spreadsheets grow almost daily. I've started naming characters for CDMX and Spring Snow and developing backgrounds and their involvement as it relates to CJ. Character count continues to creep towards 400.

    The Return

For some reason, the first four Squad spinoffs have starred straight boys. Once I complete a couple of other CJ stories, I'll tackle the gay ones. And as you'll discover in future Cadet chapters, I will continuously update the lives of the guys with their own book.
  8. BTW, feel free to share your thoughts for the current weekly episodes.

CJ's not the type to put up with bullshit. He's fine being a follower, but his nature is to lead. The fact straight boys followed him into the organization, and so many followed him out, proves you don't have to be a bitch like Janelle to lead people.

I have yet to write sex scenes for Harley. Not sure I can do it even though he does mention getting laid at one point. Chipper's a whole other story as you'll eventually discover.
  11. LMAO - When I first registered to vote in the mid 70s, it was taken for granted Democrats would win all statewide elections. Therefore my party affiliation at the time. Whenever DC becomes a state, I think we know what party will control city and state elections. Unless CJ runs for office, of course.
  12. Malibu and New Years Day came about because I couldn't shake the idea once it sprung. I'm having a similar episode now, but its much harder because I have to figure out the lives of a bunch of people during the 15 years before inauguration. Including The Juniors. LOL
  13. Since they're using the Vail house a bit more, I assume the dads will be shipping wine from California too. I'm toying with the idea of a post inauguration short story centered on the presidential family skiing in Vail. Researching a couple of things right now, particularly Secret Service restrictions. But wine's also on my list of items to figure out.
  14. Hit return too fast. Those guys surrounding him are going to learn about fine cars and wines thanks to Ritch. I hope that Shiraz he mentioned is a Liston.
  15. You get extra brownie points. Even if someone hasn't read anything else I've written, paying attention to Ritch's interactions with his fathers and other family members, we can figure out he has a solid base on which to build a military career. Off the top of my head, Jack Kennedy's the most famous millionaire officer I can think of.
  16. Patience, my friend, patience. Well get there. I also refer to the AFA's evolving regulations designed to improve the lives of minority and female cadet a bit easier.
  17. Too darn young. LOL
  18. Let them... Ritch's a boxer and knows how to handle a firearm. I wouldn't fuck around with him.
  19. LMAO! And this only included Recognition and spring break! I've skipped a few Academy requirements/events that may get mentioned in the future, since what I wanted to convey was the pressure cooker atmosphere those kids live in. Even more than we did when we went to school. Thanks, Parker
  20. Surprise you with the requirement to wear their uniforms all the time in contrast to what other branches do, didn't I? LOL Some people are born leaders and can't help stepping to the front at all times. Others, like Ritch, have the raw ability that must be developed. I've tried to show him growing into it throughout the story.
  21. I tried to include a bit of life at the Academy in each chapter. Similar in some ways, it is vastly different from attending a regular college.
  22. OMG, there we go again with Wendy. And what would be so bad about her catching one? After all, they're all adults.
  23. Thank you.
  24. Thank you, Tor.
