    Except while writing...
  2. @Will Hawkins LMAO. It's been fixed. Next time you see the old troll, let him know I'm flattered. Considering the number of chapters of mine he's read lately, I'm surprised this is the first time he finds this type of error!

Unfortunately, I doubt it'll happen in my lifetime. But we can always hope.

    Chapter 37

I mentioned to Mann this chapter's longer than most at over 4k words, yet it felt as if it was 400. Damn tension made it tough to figure out where commas were missing. If you discover any of those blame it on me and paying more attention to the action than grammar. Jimmy may be more decisive and faster to react than Sawyer, but Sawyer can hold his own. He's on a mission to protect the two women on his life and no werewolf's gonna stand in his way.

I'm not sure why I do it, since I know the meaning and proper spelling, but I end up typing where when I mean were. One day, a smart AI will fix those and misplaced punctuation.
  6. Commas are the bane of my existence!
  7. LOL A porn shoot? Three more chapters and you'll find out what our guy's been plotting.
  8. Every family needs a weird relative. I qualify.
  9. I agree. As long as people like me keep watching, the TV networks will keep throwing money at sport leagues and collegiate conferences.

I wanted to visit Turkey when I went to Egypt, Israel, and Jordan, but there was no time. One day before I die.

Did you know my grandparents came from Turkey? 😁
  12. Before writing this story, I spoke with a guy who lost both legs in a ferry accident in New York. A hell of a lot of years later, pain and sensitivity were still there. Brad will experience phantom pain for the rest of his life, or until medical advances create neural connections between his stumps and artificial limbs.
  13. I may have taken a few cracks at Mr. Trump in this story. And the next one, and the one after, and... you get the idea. I won't be happy until CJ's elected.
  14. A most enjoyable tale. While grounded in the original stories, it stands well on its own. I think McCaffrey would have approved.

  15. @Clancy59 I follow some college sports, primarily football and basketball, and I root for schools with some connection. Between my nieces, my 2 brothers, and I, we've attended 8 different ones. Yes, preferential treatment has always been there, and I do support some of it. However, the millions of dollars accruing to well-performing teams, has pushed coaches, athletic directors, and even some presidents to skirt regulations. Maybe punishment for infractions should be more severe, but I doubt there'll be significant changes in the foreseeable future. A school's football program often generates enough revenue to fund other intercollegiate sports. Looking at the big school in my area, the University of Miami, once they started winning championships in football and baseball, contributions soared. And not only to the athletic department. I think many alumni want their name associated with winners and are more likely to give. The almighty dollar rules.
  16. Thank you!

    Team Adam

That's the beauty of enjoying what you do for a living. Not everyone's lucky enough to like their job so much they look forward to work.
  18. You definitely have a point. Even Air Force pilots, who are literally 'above the fray,' must deal with stress and snap decisions. It's dangerous to doubt your actions while at the controls of an aircraft costing a hundred million dollars.
  19. I've tried to show how much the actions of parents and people in authority influence the thoughts and actions of our younger men and women. Aside from how Ritch learns, I had Sarah Bender refuse to vote for Trump due to his bad behavior and how he could influence her students. Actions speak louder than words? Sports are such a revenue generator for colleges and universities, sometimes they lose sight of what's important. Ritch, thanks to his family and the military, will encounter countless people. The good ones, he'll add to his collection, the bad ones, he'll discard. Donovan's obviously someone he won't be counting as a close friend.
  20. I've had a couple of readers tell me they investigated some of the locations I've used when traveling. Places like Milwaukee, Washington, New York, Miami, and Chicago I've visited, so most descriptions are based on personal observation. Residents of places I've used have at times told me I've done well with their cities. With Cadet, I planned to visit Colorado Springs and the Academy last summer, unfortunately, Covid 19 interfered. I still hope to check them out in person.
  21. Military and civilian lives are very different. What's acceptable in one may not be in the other. I had Ritch talk about it with Brad and the type of questions the girls at the park asked, although extreme, show how little us civilians understand. I think those differences often haunt veterans, making it harder for them to reintegrate once they're done with their service.
  22. I always wanted Brad to be troublesome, but not an alcoholic. Not everyone matures as fast as CJ. Whatever romance there might be between CJ and Owen is secondary to road trips. I mean, CJ has to make sure the Aussie can keep up. LOL
  23. Thanks, bud
  24. Haven't done one of those in a while. Maybe...
