Damn you're greedy! I'll have you know I intended the story to be under 10k words; I exceeded that by over 10%. So you got a bonus without even realizing it. Here's hoping your grandson brings you joy this holiday season. Thanks for the continued support, Dave.

LOL Yes it is.I have the first in a trilogy of short stories ready, but I won't post until the second one is at least close to completion. I don't want a long lag period between stories. (Ha! I normally bitch when authors have long lag between chapters). Anyway, each story will probably be between 5k & 7.5k words and I hope to post all 3 in 2020. Thanks for sticking with me all this time. I hope I've provided entertainment and a respite from the daily grind, and I look forward to more of the same in 2020. May your holidays be filled with joy.

I'm glad you've noticed. We met CJ at 15, he turned 23 in this story, and I've tried to show growth. The basic personality and instincts are still there, but he can now joke with Pam instead of snapping at her comments, and it's him running his hand down Owen's back trying to calm him. There's a purpose to everything I throw into a story, sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not. And sometimes it's crazy because I want to have fun. CJ will still explode at times, but so do Brett and Cesar who are his idols. I think those two have done a good job raising their son.

LOL We'll start the year off with a new story with all new characters. I think you'll enjoy it. I can promise at least one Squad-centric story since it's written and maybe two if I can get the other one done. For the last six months I've been trying to do some cleaning on older stuff and revisited some other characters so you'll see those first. Hope you have a great Christmas!

I think you'd enjoy it. You now have a taste of the characters and their personalities. None of my boys are shrinking violets so you can relate since neither Ethan nor Aiden are. Thanks for reading and reacting, Wolf.

Thanks, Dugh! It was designed as a short story trying to tide us over until I write a full novel again. At least I didn't use the 1k word chapters.

LMAO Yep, there's a novel for that. I had a fraternity brother who's dad was a diplomat. Carter had some great tales about living overseas when he was a kid. Hopefully Liebe and her siblings will too.

I thoroughly enjoyed writing a story with CJ and Ozzie at the center of the action again. Not sure how I'm going to top this one next year, I kinda liked having a holiday themed story in December. Maybe I'll write a Hanukah one. I do have a couple of Jews in the cast.

LMAO I hope you slapp his butt if he does. CJ knows better but he's a troublemaker. I tried to not make him the center of the story but at times it's tough.
  10. You're a brave man, Wolf. LOL Liebe's mostly patterned after my niece who's now in law school. If the little demon turns out half as feisty as my niece, god help CJ and Ozzie.

Same to you, Jay. I'm looking forward to my youngest brother, his wife, and my two young nephews coming down from Chicago this week. Considering the forecast's for a warm and sunny day, I think they'll be happy to escape the dreary weather up north.

My pleasure, Tony. No more stories this year, but New Year's Day is just around the corner. Hope that one helps everyone start 2020 with a smile on their faces.

Happy Christmas, Anton- My wish for 2020 is my stories continue to provide entertainment to all of you. The best present I'll get this year is the warmth of reader comments. May the new year bring you health and happiness.

Los Angeles International Airport was hectic as usual when the flight from Sydney landed; Owen led the way to Customs and Immigration with Tilda at his side. “You have the combination for the storage closet, right?” “Yeah… And you’re sure one of the ski outfits will fit me?” Tilda and Spencer would catch a flight to Denver before connecting to Vail. CJ and Owen had assured them there were plenty of ski bibs and jackets for them to choose from. “Most of the pants are adjustable. The j

Let's be fair to CJ. I don't see him objecting to Pam's grief, but to her not dealing with it. And remember he did not instigate the intervention, her sons did. She could wear black for the rest of her life as some have done and do, but I don't think that works well in a modern setting. When her pain interferes with how she deals with her granddaughter, she'll run into a protective wall put up by both CJ and Owen. Did you nitice I don't have CJ raise his voice once?

  23. Happy Festivus, Myr. Here's hoping GA continues to thrive in 2020.
  24. That one's better than the one my brother sent me of the squall hitting Hudson Yards. Matt, yesterday I agreed to go to NYC in April next year. Hope we can hook up for a drink or coffee.

I'd pay to see them like that. I've now covered about half-a-dozen weddings in the series and this one I had fun with. Not a lot on the ceremony and the reception, but enough to show it was a good one.
