Interestingly, the two most obvious additions would be D.C. and Puerto Rico, and bot lean Democratic right now. CJ being a Green party member may calm those jitters a bit. This is nothing new of course. The Missouri compromise in the 1800s led to Missouri and Maine being admitted. Missouri as a slave state and Maine as a free one. In the 1950s, the same thing happened with Alaska and Hawaii. While people assumed Hawaii would lean Republican and Alaska Democrat, it turned out to be the opposite. I'm basing Katie Mulcahey a bit on Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski. I want Katie to show she's an independent thinker who doesn't always play along with her party's leadership.

One of these days I'll write a sappy romance to rival the most cloying ones found on GA. LOL I refuse to have those two act syrupy all the time, but they're in love and now and then I like to show it. LMAO He can't wait until the training wheels come off. Sooner or later we'll find out how CJ ended as ambassador to Cuba at such a young age, and see how all the publicity and interviews help him.

Dolphins love to surf a boat's wake and that's always a thrill. Living in Florida, it's something I've always enjoyed. Just read an article about smart glasses and I suspect the ones Liebe got are entry level. After Google's original entry didn't make it, there are several companies working on the next generation. Maybe next time you or I go boating we can snatch a pair.

He's learned how to work with people he doesn't always agree with, and that can only benefit his time as mayor and all future offices he may hold. The methodical approach will work well when he runs for president. Something that struck me was the timeliness of the story as it concerns CJ's strong antisemitic stand. The fact a former US president, a famous hip hop artist, and an NBA star have recently shown their disdain for the Jewish community tells me some have forgotten the lessons of WWII. CJ and I will both work to ensure we never forget the Nazi atrocities.

I mean, after you helped Liebe complete first grade, the least they could have done is invite you along!

Thanks, Dugh. Thought about you recently when I had Owen wear his kilt to a wedding and imagined the first time the twins get to wear theirs. I have a feeling they'll be flashing everyone.

Longest one in the story so far.

I wanted to show the kids being troublesome and mischievous at times, but always listening to their fathers when required to. At their age, they're learning what is acceptable and what isn't, and being constantly surrounded by adults helps. Of course, once the twins start school, I foresee language issues. The boys can curse with the best and will shock/teach their classmates. I suspect being called by the school will be a recurring event.

Thanks, Gary. I've avoided taking them to a bullfight in both Mexico and Spain, but maybe I should have CJ run with the bulls or something. He could end up with his own ballsy purse.

Monday, 3 May 2027 Balearic Sea “Those damn kids are gonna make a fortune this trip. I’m surrounded by cussing airmen on base; I can’t clean up my language that quickly.” Ritch was inside with his niece and nephews until they fell asleep on the main salon’s couch. “Liebe read to the boys for a bit, and I really enjoyed watching the three of them interact. I don’t have dollars with me, so I gave each twenty euros. You owe me some change.” CJ chuckled and moved to the side so his bro

Thanks, Gary. If CJ's political ambitions are to be realized, he must learn how not to shoot first and ask questions later. He approached Nina calmly, blowing up only when she opened her mouth. Maybe some of his new diplomacy skills will rub off on her.

I'm shutting up now. All possible responses include raunchy remarks.

And CJ's a bulldozer. Hopefully, the captain left her with a new attitude. If not, that brick wall will crumble.

Salud, dinero, y amor... Thanks for the language lesson, I now know a little more about a bull's scrotum. LOL A reason for my meltdown when readers were unhappy with short stories was my inability to convey how if I didn't use short stories, there would have been a gap of six months or so between postings. I don't begin publishing until the story's complete. I've stopped reading more than one story when the author claims they got busy and had to skip regular postings. By the time Flying Circus ends, I'll have 2 short stories ready to go. Let's see how those are received.

Not sure how I could get it done, but a story showing those 3 as teens could be fun.

I want more responses. Do I need to call people out? I'll happily embarrass @WolfM, @Mrsgnomie, and others if I have to.

1. Poached in Sherry sprinkled with fresh thyme 2. Splash in the Pool. The trilogy by Jack Scribe starred the type of gay men I associated with my entire life, and it inspired my writing. 3. I followed someone from another site. He was banned soon after I joined for rule breaking and mouthing off. (Sounds like me at times LOL) 4. Overcoming 5. Bahamian conch chowder.

I'm willing to lend Nina and Captain Glenn to nyone interested in writing their conversation as a stand alone short.

Possibly... but it's so much fun to watch CJ slap someone down. We already know he's decisive based on Mexico, and five years later he still is. However, instead of jumping and screaming, he approaches the douchey chef calmly. I'd say he's matured some more in the intervening years. That was just part 1 of day 1!

Prude! LOL

Some of the using first name for parents comes from my family. My nieces still use Mom and Dad now and then, but most of the time it's Sal and Jennifer. Of course, they're in their 20s now, but that began a long time ago. CJ nicknamed his grandmother Aba, and the name stuck. His brother and his children call her the same thing. I see the twins also learning from Liebe, and since she calls them Ceej/CJ and Oz/Ozzie, they'll follow along. As for that sandwich, careful you fdon't get splattered with mayo.

I don't want to get adopted since my goal's to be in the middle of Brett and Cesar at some point. GA doesn't like incest stories.
-
Thank you!

I think we're all too old! The only adoption I see in the future is when CJ and Owen get an infant they name Davenport. Sometime in the near future. Part 2 of day 1 coming up next week. CJ, a moderate, white, gay man was elected in an extremely liberal city with a large African-American population. Winning, and governing, would require him to be more measured in his responses to annoying pricks. I think the days of him snapping at others without thinking first are mostly gone.
