And they're only of day two of their sailing time. Next week we celebrate Cesar's 50th and I try to make it memorable. BTW, this is one instance my personal experiences don't align with the story. I spent my 50th in Australia.
Thanks, buddy. I'm certain there are a couple of CJs running around the world, but I wish there were more. In a world where politicians worry less about the power they wield and how it can be used to improve the lives of common citizens.
Thank you! Except for a couple of minor hiccups and near tantrums, this story was built as a vacation for the characters and the readers. I fugired we had enough drama in Mexico and I wanted to show they had left that behind.
Mawgrim's stories are very enjoyable and technically near perfect. Dragons make a nice diversion from wolves. LOL
Although I wrote CJ and Brett similarly in the past, I'm starting to create differences. CJ's learned as a public person, he can't get away with the kind of comments Brett makes. At least not in public.
LMAO-
I'm not familiar with how it would work, but since there was a referendum a few years ago to determine if Scotland would remain part of the UK, I'll guess it could be done.
Not so much in the US. Even CJ acknowledges he's using the threat to achieve his ultimate goal: Washington, D.C. statehood. And as Cesar said, Lincoln made sure once a state, always a state. Although I wouldn't mind Texas being kicked out. LOL
Highlighting friends and authors I've enjoyed reading is always fun. I've done it with Mann and WolfM in the past. In this book, I get a mention (LOL) so does Parker Owens, and now Mawgrim. @Kitt hasn't peeped about it, but one of the stewards shares her name.
I have another author penciled in for an upcoming short, but I'm not telling her until I actually write it. If she pisses me off between now and then, I'll have CJ trash her story.
If I recall, Branson's in the Ozarks and was a summer resort. They keep going in fall/winter? Bet the leaves were gorgeous.
I forget where I read about compressed fish food balls, but it got filed away for possible use. I just read about a woman who posted a Tik Tok of herself, hitting a golf ball off the Grand Canyon's rim. That's illegal and dangerous. She got arrested. In my version, everyone wins. LOL I wanted to show CJ's kept up with the game and it was more fun to do this than just talk about it. I ended up doing both. I want extra brownie points
I still think you should have been invited. LOL
How do you think those two boys will do when they wind up at a fancy prep school? They'll use math when they grow up. I think I want to become a naval aviator and the other one a naval architect. Their eyes won't glaze over like mine when we talk quadratic expressions.
Thanks, Theo.
Sometimes I worry I've created a monster. CJ and his cohorts are so much fun, its hard to remember they're fiction. Glad I can brighten Fridays for you and others.
Who knew sailing would be so popular with this crowd? I'm working on a story set back in 2022, and I happen to feature another sailboat. The Dream Weaver. Maybe we can charter that one instead.
As Lucy will mention later on in the story, she's been around the family since she was a kid. By now, she knows how to deal with them. I thought her being the one who shouted CJ in this story was funny. As for a proposal, there are 6 more chapters, so it could happen. Although Ritch will probably be stuck in Italy for at least a couple more years.
LMFAO - Old farts or not, I would have loved to go skinny dipping with Brett and Cesar. It's scary how much Brett's personality influenced CJ. Those two are my irreverent warriors.
Thank you! Last time I listened to John Denver was when I was writing/publishing Cadet. Chipper opened his concert in Colorado Springs with Rocky Mountain High. Denver was truly talented.
I think an environmentalist like Owen would agree with this line: to live on the land we must learn from the sea.
For anyone not familiar with Calypso or the story behind it...
@Unlimited Possibilites
Glad I can brighten you Fridays. Cj took hold of the day and won't let go.
I find it appropriate the chapter giving us Brett's point of view was published on Veterans/Armistice Day and day day after The Marine Corps birthday. Oorah!
