Since the story takes place in 2022, employer-provided health insurance remains the emphais in the US, I thought this would fit in well.
No matter how much money they have, a serious illness could put a dent in their wealth. I think they'd opt for a high deductible and save coverage for catastrophic expenditures. I mean, they still carry auto and home insurance. Probably no need for life coverage.
I've been sighing and shaking my head all morning. This is the second story I post this month, the second chapter in three days, and everyone complains. It's frustrating as shit!
Turning off the computer and going to break speed limits on the Harley for a while. I need a change.
Let's see if anyone pays attention...
NO MORE CJ STORIES FOR A WHILE.
Since everyone apparently dislikes short stories so much, once I get them through the wedding, I'll return to long stories. That means at least a six month hiatus so I can get it ready. I will not begin publishing while still writing. I see too many crappy stories here when authors rush to finish a chapter every week. I refuse to allow the quality to suffer.
CJ's the type to plan ahead. He'll have an uphill climb when he runs for president, but he has 18 years to get his ducks lined up. Incremental steps.
So, @Daddydavekin the past complained I didn't provide details like meals as much as I did in the beginning. I thought of him when I described dinner on Saturday and lunch on Monday. Can I skip describing the wedding meal in the next story?
But why does everyone complain when I'm doing exactly what I said I would?
Until CJ gets appointed to something or other, their new positions will give them flexibility to do a lot of things. Personally, I'm looking forward to those trips to Cuba and Japan.
LMAO
You guys really don't pay attention to what I say. I'll repeat myself: No more long, chaptered stories!
And what's this about a cliffhanger? No such thing here!
CJ shaved and wore a suit; Owen remained scruffy and dressed in jeans and a blazer. The Nature Conservancy had a more relaxed attire policy than the State Department. “Red, take a picture?” CJ handed their housemate his phone while adjusting Liebe in his arms.
“The three of you look like the ultimate millennial gay family. Are you gonna post it? If not, I’m sending it to Cristina. She’d like it.” Cristina Pereira was Brad’s girlfriend who lived in New York City.
“Yeah, I will. Might as
Aja's one of those character I introduced for a specific purpose who wound up sticking around. I liked having someone as strong-minded and outspoken as CJ without the college education polish. This is her third appearance in the series.
LMAO
We'll have to wait and see if Linc and Oscar hook up, but they better have a strong bed if they go at it. Those two boys probably weigh over 500lbs together.
Clarence and Ginny get a reference in an upcoming story. Let's see what happens with them too.
I hope all those kids are branded with their initial. No way they'd sleep through the night and not switch spots.
Did Nathaniel Whitman carve the headboard?
