Cute kid! So, we got Roo, Jeffer, and Raish on the way. I think we need more.
-
If we went with Aspen and Elm, they'd be woody all the time...

One nice thing about having so many named characters is I can recycle them. The only new one at that dinner party was Nathaniel. I had to bring in a couple new people for the White House staff, introduce Morgana, but even the security guy I imported from Ranger. Brad mentioned Wazdan Adebayo, so I'll have to bring him and his girlfriend into the picture at some point.

Hopefully, y'all have noticed Owen being more outspoken. What you say is further confirmed by how they influence each other. Owen's a calming influence at times, and CJ can ignite Owen's curiosity. I'd marry either one.

Copernicus and Galileo...

The more things go to shit in the real world, the more I retreat into my fantasy one. LOL Glad you enjoyed this one. PS, come back on Sunday.

Which part of my previous comment stating I was done with long, multi-part stories did you miss? Maybe the part about not publishing anything but short stories for the remainder of the year?
-
Sort of tied up with a non-CJ project right now. Additionally, @Valkyrie hs put so much effort into coordinating this year's anthology of stories, I refuse to post anything but my antho submission next month.

Exactly!!!! I included that bit about Rod and Randy to justify Jeffer and Roo being identical twins. I see them as blonds until they hit puberty when their hair darkens to a light brown. Their dads will dress them alike some times, but not often. Once they're teens, I think they'll insist on the same haircut and clothes so they can fuck with people. I wonder who they inherit the evil streak from.

Thanks, Theo. Although once-in-a-blue-moon I may include a little drama in my stories, I try to write feel-good stuff. Posting on Fridays is my way of starting readers' weekends on a good note. I think I originally started posting on Fridays because I wrote a ton of prompt responses when I started and prompts came out that day.

I think the best line I've written for Liebe so far is when she tell one of the twins to stop being a turd.

Not a chance in hell! Although Pence could play an important role in the 2024 elections. We'll have to wait and see.

Just not Donald. I don't think I've named any character that and I'll refrain from doing so. I did say I'd share the reasoning behind Jeffer and Roo. Most of this I'll show when CJ, Owen, Liebe, Brett, and Cesar corner Lincoln during the 4th of July party. Had the new kid been a boy, he would have been named Lincoln. Had it been a girl. Ericka (Linc's last name's Erickson. Since they didn't want to pick one boy, they went with 2 other presidents/ CJ's hero and Owen's idol. Teddy was an environmentalist at heart.

Thank you! In Everhope, I include a discussion on the Supreme Court and abortion. But the crowd's a bunch of liberals. In Newport, I'll cover a few more current topics in a group of mostly Republicans. I keep trying to portray CJ as someone not married to an ideology. Liz Chaney is exhibit one amongst real Republicans. In CJ's opinion, and mine, anyone who supports Trump isn't much of a patriot. CJ may disagree with most of what Liz supports, but he'll credit her with putting country above personality cult.

Texas law allows anyone to sue anyone else who facilitates an abortion. How about a courtroom drama after CJ funds one of those clinics. Great, something else to add to Ethan's spinoff. My plan's to announce the twins' names and the reason(s) behind them at the 4th of July party in Georgetown. But since I already mentioned Owen's parents will be in town in a few weeks, maybe we'll wait until then. CJ can scare Pam by telling her they boys will be Juan and Jose and speak only Spanish. LOL

He just needs to pace himself. No matter how much money and influence he may have, he can't change the world in a day. Give him a few years.

Next chapter will be up sooner than you could imagine.

Liebe will be almost 3 when the boys are born. You're sooooooooo right about her being an influence on them. Raising them will be easier since she'll clue them in to what the parental units like. I have a multi-chapter story with her at seven and the boys at four I think you'll like. I've been holding on to it for a while. Will probably start posting on January 1. I think those morning runs will be a great opportunity for CJ and Brad to enjoy silent companionship or discuss anything and everything. He has a couple of years left in school, and I plan to keep him living at Everhope until graduation. We know Linc's gay and I mentioned Oscar was when I introduced him in CDMX. I'd pay good money to watch those two muscle-bound boys go at it. Okay. But since there's only one chapter left...

@Clancy59 With IVF procedures, multiple embryos are often implanted leading to fraternal twins or more. In the back of my mind I thought CJ and Owen woud not do that because they have a limited supply of eggs, and they want their kids to be genetically tied to both of them. Rod and Randy gave me the excuse you mention: multiple births do run in families. As I mentioned before, I foresee this type of dinner party becoming a monthly affair while the guys are in Washington. The one in July will happen while Owen's parents are in town. One more chapter and then we travel to RI. I have an outline but nothing written. May be a minute before that one's ready.

I read about that proposal and decided it was cool to mention. Those floating clinics would probably be re-provisioned by air. I bet Texas would scream bloody murder. But the twins (and their cousin) should be cause for celebration. I'm still CJ being PC about the names was BS. I kinda like Tyronne and Tyresse. Why did he have to go with Jeffer and Roo?

LOL. Yeah, it ended 8 years before that opening. Take a look at my reply to the previous comment.

Thank you for catching that. I've fixed it. Eastern Market opened before the Civil War and many of the merchants moved outside city limits to Maryland during the fighting. I skipped the 'at it's present location' explanation.

I love you called the chapter thought-provoking. I may not always agree with everything CJ believes, but I try to have him address controversial topics often. And as we'll hear him say at another dinner party, he's willing to listen and consider what others think. He may not change his mind often, but he will.

Y a ti. If it gets too hot, catch the ferry to Palma or Ibiza. You may run into @JACC. He and I have been talking about how much fun we could have on the islands.
