  1. Okay, I re-read the chapter and I think I figured out the clue!!! But maybe a more interesting way for them to escape is to have the tadpoles grow into frogs and eat away at their ropes. Or....maybe they will grow into toads and the guys can lick the toads and halucinate all over again! Either way, Great Chapter and I'm counting down the days till next tuesday
  2. PLUS Why do I get the feeling the only "clue" is that we are going to have more cliffhangers???
  3. Well, I'm not too big on change, so I would guess no pill for me. Hell I even have trouble changing my hairstyle, imagine changing your orientation. Yikes!! Dom brings up an interesting point in: Really, isn't this what has been going on since the onset of organized religion? Isn't it everyones right to judge and be the judge of everyone else in the absence of God in the here and now? Funny how everyone has an opinion and wants you to do what they want...in God's name. Anyways, before this turns into a full blown rant, let me just say that you all are invited up to Canada. Besides, the winters are a little bit more cold, so you need to find someone (I'm free!!) to keep your warm.

    I

Yikes! I'm a one with nine wings Guess I have a few extra wings to share with others in case your in need of them. Wait, that was what the description of a one was, always trying to "reform" others as well as myself. Pretty accurate all in all. It was kinda fun to see a description of myself, which really are pretty generic traits. I'm sure if I read a six or three, I could find things in common as well. Kind of like calling the psychic hotline Still, a great way to waste ten minutes.

Well, before you jump in and think the pump is the "cure" for you, there is a few things to consider: 1) How many blood tests do you do a day? 2) How does your body react to the humalog? 3) How often does your daily activity amounts change day to day? I have been a type 1 for 34 years of my 38. I have seen technologies come and go over the years. A few years back I was looking into the pump, and the above three questions helped me decide on not getting it. My answers were: 1) On average, 2-4 blood tests a day, more often than not the two I HATE taking blood tests, been doing it since I was nine. The other thing to consider is if you are only doing limited blood tests, don't fool yourself into believing that you'll suddenly start doing more. I have increased them numerous times, but always revert back to what I'm most comfortable with. 2) When on the pump, you basically go on a short term "fast acting" insulin. If the Humalog doesn't work for you as it is suppose to, them you may have to explore other insulins, but your limited to about three. 3) If you have basically a sedintry lifestyle with ocasional large bursts of energy, then the pump isn't the way to go (my adult life the last 4-5 years). As you know, too low blood sugar (hypoglycemic), is very bad, and very dangerous. The pump works on a program, which you will have to adjust frequently. I wouldn't say don't get a pump, but saying you should really analyze why you have gone from type II to type I. I wouldn't want to see you spend the $1500-$3000 and about $250 a month on supplies if it doesn't fit your lifestyle. I do have a few friends who do have one, and works great for them. One plays hockey 3-4 times a week, so shouldn't interfer with the rollar coasters. They are about the size of a pager now, and the butterfly needle and shunt are pretty secure. So, there is my two cents worth, but once again, don't take anyone else's word about it. Only you can decide if it is right for you, and if you actually can adapt to the changes that you will have to accomodate to use one. Best of luck. Steve

Myr, no need to ask for forgiveness. As you can see, I don't post much at all. I am "coming out from hiding" and want to let you know my feelings. First of all, I have been coming here for a couple of years, but decided to finally become a member when I was sure that I really wanted to be part of this community. I really come here for the enjoyment that I get from reading your stories and many of the hosted authors as well. I also enjoy some of the e-fiction, and follow a few writers from there. I guess as I look into more of certain individuals beefs about story content, theme, rules, and how they would change it, it makes me wonder why they don't do what I do. Every time I come across a story that I don't enjoy, or if I tire of a theme, I stop reading it. I move onto to something different. I have added posts of my praise, but don't feel confortable knocking someone down who most likely putting their heart and soul into their posts. I guess some people will always hide behind the excuse that they are trying to "help" someone by critiquing their work, but to them I say, move on, find something you like Myr, you have provide a forum for anyone who chooses to be part of this community, and for me I personally am grateful for you dedication, hard work, and perserverence to make this a place for people like me, who come here to read and enjoy a diverse community of writers. In the same breath, if you, your committees, the authors need a break, I will respect your decisions. I will be saddened, but know that eventually you all will find the spark that got all of you going on this journey. My only suggestion would be: Would the site be any less visited and enjoyed if certain areas are dropped. If chat is causing that much stress for yourself and other moderators, turn it off. I'll continue to come and read, post occasionally, and not be any worse off for it. Well, there is my feelings, and hopefully I represent a majority of other "silent" members. Hang in there, and don't ever regret for letting us know what your feeling. Steve

    not sleepy yet

Hmmm, a friend was working on a feedlot the other day and got kicked in the chest by a cow and broke some ribs. But he is no homophobe, so couldn't be him. Still an interesting coincidence though
