  1. Interesting clip I saw on the news just recently, and found a clip. Don't worry, everybody and animal were fine. Steve
  2. Great Chapter CJ, but I'm mad !!! Is this some form of punishment? I will wait to comment more, but in a way I'm glad things are not as bad as they could have been. Steve

    I stink!

CJ, I don't no what you did to that poor skunk, but it must have been something bad for him to have sprayed you. I have actually had 3 close encounters of the skunk kind, one as recent as August. Me and a friend were camping and we may have had a beer or six each, when a skunk decided to join us around the campfire. The friend told me that there was a skunk behind me, and then I felt a cold nose rubbing on the back of my leg. Being scared to death of being sprayed, i stayed frozen. Next he sniffed my other leg, and then went up on his hind legs and gave me a back scratch through the cloth chair I was in. Obviously not liking me, he wandered over to my friend and sniffed both of his legs before doing a figure eight between them. I'm sure the Westminster Dog show would have been impressed. Then he climbed up on the picnic table that the friend was sitting on, and then finally up top and began to open a bag of potato chips. With his head right in the bag, we slowly got up and grabbed the lantern and heading out 50 feet into the woods. Five minutes later we came back slowly to find not only the skunk gone, but all the chips in the bag too. May I suggest that you try to bribe any future skunks with Jalape
  4. This statement actually brings a great question up. Maybe we have overlooked the obvious. In order to be a post whore, wouldn't one have to be a lurker in the forums in order to know when to post? So in reality, CJ could be a lurking post whore!!!
  5. Okay CJ, I will give my view as a reader. this is what I read in your story, and I don't believe you can deny this isn't the message that your were trying to get across: So someone who doesn't use cliffies (referred to 16 times) or cliffhangers (twice), you sure referred to them a lot in a 6 paragraph story. And you know what the irony is? What happened to the goatherder? We'll never know, as once again, CJ finishes with a cliffhanger, literally! Steve
  6. Yes we do. It is basically the same as the US holiday of a feast to thank for the harvest. Since we are a bit more Northern, our harvest is a bit earlier. The only differnece is that it doesn't kick off the Christmas shopping season . Oh, and Thank You Ieshwar Steve
  7. To all my fellow Canadians out there Happy Thanksgiving Enjoy the day and make sure that you give your thanks for all the great things in our lives. Including the great community we have here a GA. Steve
  8. Ok, my guess is for Dimitri and Vladimir to be driving across the outback, when suddenly a kangaroo bounds in front of their vehicle. Unable to slam on the breaks quick enough, the Kangaroo dies like an insect on the windshield. The roo was hit with such force, it breaks the grill and mucks up the fan . Dimitri is so devastated with the death of the kangaroo that he decides to make up for it by dedicating the rest of his life to only doing good What do you think? Steve
  9. I too was wondering the same thing, but I guess the answer is in "who" the question is being asked to. If it was asked to all hetrosexual married couples, don't you think that the majority of both questions would be no? Now ask that question to gay men, and you will have a lot who say a yes to the gay son, but no to the lesbian daughter, but only because they are not exactly familiar with the lesbian lifestyle (I'll admit, I'm one). Now if you asked of Lesbian women, I would guess that they would be slightly more okay with the daughter than the son for the same reason. Lastly, what would be interesting if you asked just parents of GLBT kids, what the answer would be, remembering some parents accept it, and some totally reject it. I don't care for the poll myself, but have really enjoyed the posts saying why they voted the way they did. Thanks Kevin Steve
  10. Now if I had the time and if anyone was really interested, I guess we could list every forum that you are the lead poster . And since you think it is just because your name is on the forum, maybe go check out one with Shadowgod's name on it . Statistical Glitches....I don't know if even Joe can help you out on this one.
  11. Happy Birthday BeaStKid!!! Make sure you have a blast in your last year as a kid .
  12. Really???? By disclosing this information you realize all claims of you being a lurker will be over and done with There, hopefully nobody knows how to read the above information. Hopefully it maintains your lurker status for a day or two. Steve
  13. I must disagree with you here Jan. In FTL, CJ continually tried to point out Eric's good points, too which many thought he was pulling their legs. Then in the end, really, it came down to Eric being the unsung hero. But, in LTMP, The Scar and Dimitri did something that Eric never did in FTL. They have killed countless people. Therefore, I don't believe in this story that CJ can convince us that they are just misunderstood . Steve
  14. Very interesting information available about this one particular forum. Let's have a quick look: Poster Posts C James 8 Graeme 3 AFriendlyFace 2 Conner 1 Bondwriter 1 wildone 1 Ieshwar 1 EMoe57 1 TalonRider 1 So really, as of right now, in this forum, who is the postaholic? Steve
  15. Actually that was exactly what I thought about when I made my predictions. Why would they have to "sneak" them out of Jerry's place if they were eighteen? I think there is a lot more about these girls than what has been presented. I still think there is a bit of blackmail in the letter that Helen is holding. Really, look at the author of this fine story. Isn't it the same person who may or may not have blackmailed his fans to vote a certain way in a poll or face the possibility of the next chapter being delayed . And to further build my claim, CJ, your a lurker , you never use cliffhangers , and you'd never use blackmail  . Steve
  16. I've been quietly reading this with interest. I see a lot of good points being made, but I also see misinterpretation of others comments to back their point. Can I ask primarily of CJ and 97a as well as Bondwriter one question: If we all agree that Iran is wrong in their treatment of Homosexuals, what can the average person do to try and change this? I know this is a big question, but it has been on my mind the past week since the president of Iran was in New York. Thanks, Steve
  17. Yesssss!!!!! Finally the scene we have all been waiting for . Don't read on if you haven't read the story yet. I loved how Chase dealt with Jon and Eric, especially Jon. I think of all of them, Jon has the most growing up to do. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but could the vestal virgins have been exactly that except maybe they were underage vestal virgins to be more accurate. How long would it take for some blackmail to happen by them sending a letter to Helen stating that Jon and Eric had their ways with the poor underage girls. Also maybe something to the extent of needing a certain amount of money to make it go away, and if they don't agree, then they will go to the press and even disclose more juicy information about Chase and Brandon. It think Jon and Eric have really screwed things up in the short term. Hopefully Helen borrows Chase's drum and does her on impromptu drum solo with the drum actually over his head. Oh well, I'm definitely happy that the two guys finally talked and got somewhat intimate. But I'm still riled up over Jon and Eric that I will have to calm down some first. Great chapter CJ!! And thank you for finally giving us the kiss. Steve
  18. I'm not even going to try to touch that one . But like Bondwriter said, one more in the Herd of Capricans Kevin. But like any group, there will always be a bit of infighting. So if the worse is some claiming they are only part of a Herd, and some claiming to be only a Caprican, I'd say we're doing good . Looking forward to many posts from a fellow lurker . Steve
  19. In a way, the twenty one rule all across the states is kinda a good way compared to up here in the Great White North. I live in a province that has a legal drinking age of 18, and there is one other one up here. Everyone else I believe it is nineteen. This creates a lot of problems in "border" towns, where kids that are not eighteen will cross over and buy booze, or go to the bar, and then decide they need to go home. Looking back, was I mature enough to drink at 18? I think Eric proved what most 18 year olds would do when drunk. Although I may have not jumped table to table at a party, that would probably pale in comparison to some of the things I did  . In a way, my opinion is that kids should maybe be exposed at even a younger age to alcohol, then they would learn to respect it more as they grew older. I think 90% of kids binge drink on their 18th here because they legally can. I imagine it is the same in the other provinces at 19 and most likely at 21 in the states. Well there is my two cents, now I'm off to enjoy a nightcap before sleep. Steve
  20. Congratulations Emoe!!! I had originally thought of setting a goal of matching the number of posts CJ has, but realized that would never come true. At least with your number of posts, I can still dream . Good on ya! Steve

    For Billy... <3

Sorry, haven't been around too much in the blogs, as I usually look forward to reading yours. Now, penises, and lots of them!!! Can I get an advance copy....pleassse As for your question Viv, I kinda like the open ended ending. It allows me to have some freedom in deciding what happens in the characters future. But beware, it also will probably set you up to be called upon to write a sequel. Either way, whatever you decide to write, I will anxiously wait "The End" Steve
  22. Ditto here! I don't want to be an enabler anymore . Steve
  23. Hey, another question popped into my mind that Graeme kinda alluded to earlier. I don't really expect a definite yes or no from our resident goat author, but here it is: Could CJ be deceiving enough, and cunning enough, and mean enough to have the title Wild Wild Night to be in reference to The Scar and the senorita for hire? Would this mean a chapter dedicated to the two of them copulating, ewwwww!!!! No poll involved, you all know CJ, is this what he has in mind? Steve
  24. Okay, I didn't realize just how stubborn you Capricans can be. Sort of like that whole "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" thing. As a member of this totally dysfunctional group , who will probably be arguing next on if CJ wears boxers, briefs, boxer briefs or nothing at all, may I re suggest something that appeared earlier in the thread. Shall we go with The Herd of Capricans? Now notice that I did put Herd first, as they did actually garner more votes than the Capricans. Maybe with one less forum going, we can concentrate on all the other polls going on . Steve Edit to Add: As a gesture of goodwill, I have even reluctantly changed the signature.
