  1. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not that I know of. I'm making pineapple jam though I think I'll give it a bit of blender to make it a bit smooth. It's a first try. I'll let you know
  2. No. I bought a kit. It's a mix of a henna from Rajasthan, indigo and curcuma. It's my first time. I got lot of tips from friends. Also I didn't want something too colorful so I went with something close to my natural color.
  3. In other news I'm coloring my hair. I'm doing it myself with henna. I went with a golden brown. Applying it wasn't so bad. It's almost time to rinse it all 😬 🤞
  4. Oh yeah 5 is big already. Our last one, Minion, was a stray too. We hadn't planned on keeping him but well one thunder storm night we let him in and the rest is history. This one seems to be a bit sick (his dirty eyes is a big warning sign) plus I saw a little tick on his lip... I've put a post on the village Facebook group to find he's owner (cause yeah he's still here... 7 hours later)
  5. Happy Friday gang The weather is lovely here. I'm planning on making jellies today. Yesterday I've put pineapple to macerate in sugar to make pineapple with a touch of vanilla and flamed with brown rhum jam the smell is divine!
  6. There's an unknown cat in my back yard. He's been there for almost 2 hours now making this sad meowing, it's breaking my heart a bit. He doesn't look sick or skinny, his eyes are just a bit dirty like he's been crying but they are not red. He is not shy, coming for pets and scratches (He's even bitten my calf because I was ignoring him!). He seems young, I'd say not much older than 1. Look like he'd like to make friend with Looping who is jealous and guarding the door. It's like watching an introvert been approached by an extrovert As I've come back to my room I've closed the back door but I can hear him cry and scratching at the door You must stay strong Clo, you can do it
  7. Dang you're wise
  8. Hey gang happy Monday
  9. You need a cuddld budy to hold you and keep you warm too
  10. That's how his boyfriend described it, I didn't get visial proof as it's a written book
  11. Well he has kids, a cute puppy, likes to play with wood and has a very big... car! and at the end he gets a cute boyfriend
  12. Hey @Headstall I've just finished a book and one of the character is calling the other one "my Sexy Lumberjack"
  13. Same here. I never understood why it's less expensive with the land-line. We only receive and make calls to grandma and my great-aunt with the land-line. A few months ago when we changed grandma's land-line phone to a newer one that filter scam calls we realized her phone subscription included the rent of her phone. She had that phone for like 30 years! The people working for the provider didn't even knew they still had rent for phone in some old subscriptions.
  14. Hi all, happy Sunday Grey sky most of the day but the sun finally decided to show its face since 4pm. I think it's the only dry day of the week we had but like page's the garden is going wild thanks to the water and mid temperatures
  15. It's the end of the strawberries season for me. Very few and they're little. But it's he start of raspberries and red currants! it's the 2nd year for the red currants and they're thriving!
  16. At first I'd read it as Scott eggs and thought of a different kind of eggs
  17. That's great news fingers crossed for no side effects and a speedy recovery
  18. With all the heat last week, all the rain this week the zucchini plant is going wild. I had to cut at least 6 leaves (those beasts have nasty thorns outch) so it doesn't overcome on the green bean plants nearby and to access the zucchini. I've already picked 2 and there are 7 more on the plant already at half size! Appointment was kind of a disappointment... plus I'm feeling overwhelmed by all those medical appointments and obligations and over all just mentally tired and depressed and today is a bad day. In French we have a saying "it's the drop that overflowed the glass". Since I've woken up I've been either crying or trying not to. So yeah...
  19. Hi all, sun is slowly coming back around here. I'm getting ready for an appointment for my endocrinologist *sigh*
  20. Exactly! Clo's bit of useless information #101: See the little inland dip on the south west of the B of Belgium, well that's the Baie de Somme where my grandparents live(d)
  21. Yup. A lot of people go for a dip on Christmas morning in the Manche sea dress as Santa I never saw the appeal in it 🤷🏻‍♀️
  22. Hey @Bucket1 I've just saw a news video about a new apocalyptic thing in New-South-Wales, Australia: mouses invasion! Well at least for once it's not deadly for mankind https://fb.watch/6idUec7gb2/
  23. Cooler here too. It's only 14°C. It rained all night and some today. Some places got flooded pretty badly last evening. They showed on the new downtown Reims a city bus blocked by water up to the top of its tires with the equivalent of a month of rain in less than one hour! And est near Beauvais there is nearly 80cm of water in fields and a 17yo disappear, apparently he fell of in the river!
  24. That's an interesting king of blanket you've got there my Sexy Lumberjack
