Hi gang,
Another beautiful day here in Picardie. A bit less hotter than the last couple of days with 25-27°C and a little breeze from time to time making it very enjoyable.
I went shopping this afternoon. I had wants of cute sandals, jeans shorts (can you believe I didn't have jeans shorts?! Only the hiking type) and airy flowery little dresses. I've bought White leather sandals, 2 jeans shorts and a beautiful dress though I'm not sure I'll keep it as I'd need to move down the cleavage a bit to make it more comfortable and there are some frilly things on the shoulders coming down on the breasts making mine looking bigger which they absolutely don't need.
I've also bought a cute t-shirt saying "my family doesn't know it yet but I'm a genius" (it'd be great for @Drew Espinosa ) and blue shorts with suspenders with my little nephew. He's only 9 months old but wears 18-24 months old clothes!
Happy Friday to you too Marty and the rest of the gang
It's much warmer here with 28 to 30°C and a full blue sky. The forecast is for the weather to stay that way for the weekend and the drop a bit to 23-25°C next week.
I had to water a bit last night, especially the young cucumber, melon and watermelon plants
Hey all, ugh it's hot here and unfortunately not thanks of a hotty, it's all the sun. The car indicated over 30°C earlier! Birds are chirping around, they've been very talkative recently, way more than the previous years.
I hope you're all having a nice day. A special hug for Albert today
The family came for a BBQ. It was really cool as we hadn't seen each other for 10 to 12 months. The weather is enjoyable, full on sun warm but not enough it'd be gross. My strawberry cake came out perfect and delicious (though I should have but it a few minutes in the freezer for the cream). Dang the strawberries were heaven, firm, juicy and so sweet!
I made the strawberry cake for tomorrow lunch. A genoise biscuit, diplomat cream, dices of strawberries and more cream topped by another genoise biscuit. I'll decorate the top biscuit with a Chantilly and more strawberries tomorrow morning.
I've prepped apricots and cherries to make jam tomorrow. I've found them in the "ugly vegetables" aisle when I went grocery shopping. Both at half price so really worth it. They were a bit over ripped but on 1kg of apricots I've took off half one and on the 700g of cherries I've took off maybe about 8 pieces.
Though now my hands and nails are badly stained despite washing them with a brush 5 times.
I had never tried essential oils before I started making my own cosmetics (soaps, shampoo...). I've just put peppermint EO on nasty bug bits on my finger and little toe and instantly the itching stopped. Also now I smell good
