  1. Chapter Two: The Art of the Deal (and Dinner) Finn Finn was currently being assaulted by a lint roller. “Stand still,” Lydia commanded, peeling off a grey, fuzzy sheet and attacking his left shoulder with renewed vigor. “You have dog hair on you. You don’t even own a dog. How do you acquire dog hair via osmosis? Is it part of your ‘street urchin’ aesthetic?” “It’s from Pastor Jensen’s Golden Retriever,” Finn grumbled, batting her hand away with genuine irritation. He fe
  2. Lydia, needs a date for her brother's wedding. Her target? Orel, the reclusive Merrick brother who catalogues graveyards and barely speaks. To get to him, she blackmails her mechanic cousin Finn into a double date with Orel's brother, the tightly-wound auditor Oliver. But Finn and Orel share a decade-old secret, a trauma orchestrated by their charming, predatory brother Tarquin. To stop Tarquin's rise, this unlikely alliance must weaponize their past against him—and in the process, reclaim the love stolen from them in a rotting barn. A story of revenge, rust, and rebuilding on broken ground.

Alex is too busy staring in awe at a certain Hockey goalie in a giraffe t-shirt, his jaw hanging open as he tries to find an excuse to buy a scone.

    Chapter 5

Now I am picturing Tommy sitting on a pile of tires, "1001 ways to skin a Coyote" on his lap, offering suggestions. Jacob trying to look tough behind his Pa-pere (Which is a devil for the dang grammar/spelling thingy by the way, it keeps trying to change it to Pepere which is Granddad in French) instead of the fond "Pa-papa" Which Jacob uses to distinguish his Dad's. I lost my train of thought.... where was I... Oh yes, skinning a Coyote. Poor Ned's probably standing there asking his family to kindly not skin a guy he actually likes, and that he's fine with the occasional light usage. And did you see the car he bought me as an apology for the last time?

    Chapter 5

"What are your intentions with our little Ned?" "I swear I have no intentions with little Ned!" "So you just used him?" "I didn't say that, put down those jumper cables...Dios Mio! You Carter's are insane! And why is the short one vibrating like that... and purple?"

    Chapter 5

Definitely Andrew Carter... Definitely him... you don't make Andrew mad... nope... you step lightly around the Dark Sovereign and hope to God he doesn't wake up and notice you're there. Will is terrifying on a National scale, a man who wields immense power against nations and states. He'll just punch him a few times, politely, after explaining your error. Andrew, Andrew will find a nice quiet place to have a little chat... Probably at 40000' with the tail ramp down, and no parachute in sight. that boy has a very overprotective Step-Dad, and an Uncle that is a Cardinal Direction and takes on tanks. Yep, Ned may be a doofus, but he's part of a very efficient family of problem solvers.

Peter's gonna kick his ass... ineffectually and with a lot of complaining, but we know the idea of doing it was there... He's going to put his yellow belt to good work... he's dangerous! His certificate says so.

    Chapter 5

It's always interesting thinking about which one will deal with him. West for touching Peter. Peter for threatening West. Or Brian who we all know is shipping the hell out of Peter and West.

  21. CHAPTER FIVE: THE COYOTE ON WALL STREET & THE FISHER OF RIDEAU Location: The Grill, Seagram Building, Midtown Manhattan. Time: 12:30 PM EST. Status: The Belly of the Beast. The air inside The Grill smelled of truffle oil, dry-aged beef, and the kind of money that didn’t just talk; it whispered commands that toppled governments. It was a cathedral of mid-century power, a space of Philip Johnson bronze and Mies van der Rohe lines, where the masters of the universe came to eat $400 lun

    Chapter 12

He still does, yes, I admit sometimes I make mistakes. I do tend to go really fast with the text, so if I forgot to mention it it was probably because I was focused on the rest of the plot. It was a very... large pair of chapters put together into one. It is implied that a part of Garrett's pain was neuropathic and as his mood improved so did his ability to walk improve. If you note in the last few chapters it was Thump-Step rather than Tump-drag. Nothing magical, just the power of being happy in his life and in himself.

    Chapter 12

They tend to be, but caution and fair use wins the day. As long as I don't name directly any living member of the family, and make sure they are used fictitiously, and since the name falls under the historical fact of a town... It is the same as using, say, the name Washington for characters. Nah I am being mindful and looked into it, and as long as I keep a firm line between fiction and fact, I should be fine.
