Lydia, needs a date for her brother's wedding. Her target? Orel, the reclusive Merrick brother who catalogues graveyards and barely speaks. To get to him, she blackmails her mechanic cousin Finn into a double date with Orel's brother, the tightly-wound auditor Oliver. But Finn and Orel share a decade-old secret, a trauma orchestrated by their charming, predatory brother Tarquin. To stop Tarquin's rise, this unlikely alliance must weaponize their past against him—and in the process, reclaim the love stolen from them in a rotting barn. A story of revenge, rust, and rebuilding on broken ground.

Content Warning: This novel contains depictions of past childhood psychological and sexual abuse, coercion, and complex PTSD. The story focuses on the aftermath and the survivors' journey toward healing and justice, but scenes may include emotional distress, flashbacks, and discussions of traumatic events.

Three brothers are united and stressed by family ties, The leader, Tarquin,  is dominant and arrogant. The middle brother ,Oliver, keeps things together and the youngest one, Orel, appears to be the reclusive, shy youth who hides a terrible secret. Finn returns to town and rekindles his past connection with Orel and the two helps change lives in good ways.

You will read about pain and shame and see people struggle and join with others to take helpful actions. Things are not going to be the same in Merrickville.

Enjoy the ride and learn about fascinating good and bad people,

We have three brothers, Tarquin, Oliver and Ollie who are united through the family trust.

Tarquin the leader, Oliver the accountant and Ollie the quiet one, with a terrible secret.

With Finn back in town, he and Ollie reconnect and rekindle there friendship.

This leads to massive changes in the brothers lives.

We deal with redemption, vengeance, corruption and love in this wonderful story.

Give it a read, you will not be disappointed.
