Chapter Seven: The Goddess of Leamington Spa The church doors slammed open with a sound like thunder. Taine led the charge, Tyler at his shoulder, Charlie and Lilith flanking, Matt and Simon bringing up the rear with Chloe and Gregory bringing up the very rear, Gregory clutching his volume of Byron like a talisman. They moved through the nave with practiced precision, six months of demon-hunting experience making their footfalls nearly silent despite the urgency. The i

The Golden A-hole goes to: Justin Miller for best actor in everything but the *ahem* fun bit, where he wasn't acting.

Chapter 19: The Scholar's Heart The car ride to the State Finals was a mobile tomb, but the body inside was not dead—it was a sleeper agent, waiting for a signal to detonate. Silence, thick and tactical, pressed in from all sides, a stark contrast to the roaring static of their last CB radio conversation. Justin drove the battered ford pickup, his knuckles a bloodless white on the steering wheel, his gaze fixed on the highway stretching into a gray, indifferent horizon. In the passe

Tyler's great, you know he's already calculating his odds at a trio-team up. Plus with all the weirdness they've been through, Tyler gets it. At the end of the day he knows whose bed Taine will come back to at the end of the night, and that's Tyler's source of confidence. That, and he has Michael's prophecy on his side, so fate's in his corner ready to tag in.

Charlie's an interesting one. I do enjoy his evolution over the books, he and Simon have the biggest growth arcs, with Matt close behind. Things starting to come together for them as they work it all out. Mrs. Hartley sitting smug with her glass of wine, knew it all along.

Chapter Six: The Morning After the Night Before Tuesday morning arrived with the grey, grudging reluctance of a day that knew it was about to be awful. Taine had barely slept. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Charlie's face—his own face, looking back at him with that dawning, wondering expression. Heard Charlie's voice: *"I kinda wanna try it again."* Felt the phantom weight of hands that were technically his own but also not, moving with a confidence that had nothing t

The beta readers of this book @Paladin and @Seraph28 both said the same thing when giving me their EVER VALUABLE feedback on it. This story is troubling, and thought provoking, and it isn't supposed to feel good. It's designed to make us think about the technology we allow into our lives that is constantly monitoring us. And the potential ways that unscrupulous people ARE monitizing that access to our lives. But winning, in the end, is important. Tim's positioned, Ben is off the leash, and Justin isn't going to stand by. The Director will be unmasked.

Ok two more chapters of this one. Then I will be releasing these two in the morning slot (my action adventure hour) My first foray into Fantasy, so be kind to me. Ser Darien and his Squire, Wylan, are setting off from the First Crusade, pursued by the relentless Seljuk Sorcerer-Prince Ishan ibn Fadil al'Kalijj and the LEGENDARY Sultan Kalijj Arslan. The road to Jerusalem is full of betrayal, deep cost, and loss. But a blind gay Squire becoming a Saint was unexpected, and changes the fate of all he comes into contact with.

They actually make a mention of hearing the plan (the viewers) they "Love this angle" It's playing in a new and exciting way for them. i think they celebrate Wildcard Ben, who, let's face it, is soooo much better than icky Justin #TeamBen4EVA ! Like, let's tip $50 if he wears the swim trunks into battle... (Icky, need to go wash now)

It makes me shudder, there was a report recently of a guy that had hacked webcams all over the world, and would live stream the feeds. Every intimate moment, every time they'd change, use the bathroom, had sex... all on display. Pay him a premium and he'd hack people on demand. A stalker's paradise.

the director made a huge mistake not locking Ben down to the rules.

Chapter 18: The Paywall The pizza arrived, a greasy cardboard monolith promising a fleeting, ordinary comfort. It sat between them on the scarred floorboards of Ben’s room, its scent of pepperoni and melted cheese a stark, almost offensive contrast to the sterile new laptop that now dominated the space. The box remained unopened. Appetite was a memory. Tim’s fingers were ice. He stared at the sleek, silver device, the Blue Archivist logo—a stylized, abstract ‘A’—glowing softly

Whelp I just finished book one of my blind Squire book which is fun. i am going to have to write another, to keep the story going. It's proving to be fun, and the First Crusade is rather rich to mine in a historical fantasy kind of way. Little Lord Wylan is proving a commendable protagonist.
