    Field Marshal Montgomery had a taste towards it as well. The only redeeming fact on Mountbatten was that the IRA put an end to his depravity. The man literally organized a coup against the British government to install a fascist dictatorship using the British Armed Forces. My father was a fervent supporter of Mountbatten, which explains so much of his own ... well most of you know that story by now.

    A fact that BOILS MY BLOOD! Pardons are for people who committed crimes, who admit guilt and who were wrong. Turing's only crime was being gay. I find it homophobic that he was pardoned instead of exhonorated. And it still left thousands that rotted in jails, and sites like Blackwater what have to be "Pardoned" and walk around with that STAIN on their record. Paying the costs of wrongful arrest, torture, chemicals... sorry as I said it sets me off...

    The story was written up to Chapter 11. I wasn't sure how I wanted to end it, but going through it, making edits, I see the ending.

    Did he know? Did he consent to Artie being sent to Blackwater? No. He came home from a business trip to find his son gone. His wife informed him, coolly, that Arthur had been "taken in hand"—that she had arranged for him to be sent to a "rehabilitative institution" for his "condition." She had signed the papers herself. She had used her father's influence to bypass the courts. She had done it all behind his back because she knew—correctly—that he would have stopped her. By the time Lord Miller discovered what had happened, it was too late. The paperwork was filed. The court order was issued. The son was gone. (the above is the working back story I am using)

    It's a battle, for sure. Lord Miller is embroiled in it. And that shines a light right on Blackwater, the boys have a powerful Ally out there, but it takes time.

    Carter is still present, still guiding the boys. I think the next chapter has a bit more of him. As for Miller's father, he's got to fight the law to get his son out of there. That requires judges, political will, and him tearing apart his wife's committing of Artie to Blackwater. Not easy, even with his political pull, at that time. The Home Secretary was very powerful, and all of this was going on in the middle of a massive purge of "homosexual Inverts" The wrong step and Miller could end up somewhere far worse than Blackwater. I will write a chapter from Lord Alfred Miller's perspective at some point soon. I think it is valuable to see what the fight against this nightmare of an era was like.

    It's easy for a story like this to descend into misery. I wanted to combat that with a Great Escape/ POW camp fighting spirit to show the resistance of the boys pulling together. Ending on a note of hope shows that the boys are not helpless. They can fight back, and do. The Wireless is a Lie!

    Cameron vs Elias, Elias has learned that his men are loyal to each other and they won't be bought with empty promises. The more Cameron promises, the more the Pact distrusts it. Little Pike is not going to let anything happen to Thomas.

    Again, historically Dion and Ignatieff ran the Liberal Party off of a cliff during 2008. With many stating that Ignatieff did it on purpose to sink Dion just to secure the leadership of the party. What he did after in 2011 was... well... next book is 2011.

    It's amazing what you can buy your way out of. Damaging, sure, but it's an empty allegation made by a dead woman. And a few receipts. The evidence was thin at best, the jurisdictional complications made it impossible for him to be tried. Politicians, infamously, have survived far worse. He no longer has the London Firm behind him. Which is a good note, however.

    This is based off of actual capabilities, confirmed attacks, and intricate Cyber warfare used at that point and later. I consolidated a ten year campaign of Cyber Warfare attributed to the Russian State down into one operation. But this is the same apparatus that attacked the Brexit Campaign, the US Elections, and disrupted SWIFT finance for a decade exacerbating the Financial Crisis that affects us all. This same strategy was employed against Georgia during the short War where Russia crushed Georgian Resistance.
