It comes down to Tim's Dad and controlling the narrative Tim's dad finding out is the danger. Out at school on social media can be controlled, hidden. A direct message to him saying "Here's a photo of your son" yep.

i am rather enjoying the insane fun of writing a slightly off the wall set of stories for a break from the norm of what I have been writing.

in my notes from last year, when I was coming up with the plot for this one. I had Alex and Darren as the two secondary characters. Darren would be learning how to be a trans man, and facing up to his personal demon, while Alex would be dealing with the nightmare of Darren's life. I decided to step back from it as I didn't want to offend or come across as preachy with it. I might revisit the characters in the future. Maybe in Charlie vs The Ex-Boyfriend Demon Hunter. (a potential book 3 i am toying with doing)

More a slip on my part while writing. The ending was originally (that part) written before the scene where Elias changed his name. I was, when writing, trying to deal with the fallout of Theo's violation of home, and it dawned on me that Elias needed a gesture to show that they were stronger than that violation, so I went back over it and wrote that it, it's the reason that chapter is longer than some of the others (that is one of my little secrets, you can always tell I rewrote something or added to the chapter later if it is a long one. )

The one weakness of a philosopher like that. What are you willing to do to save a life, compromise who you are? Would you give up your own morality to ensure an innocent person isn't killed? What about an evil person, would you protect an innocent by sacrificing an evil one? What defines Evil? Is old charlie really horrible. or just a drunk teenager being a teenager? the whole corruption of a good man by offering him a deal that preys upon that morality, to Ellis is "Yummy"

I'd like to write another Western at some point... i have a vague idea exploring Jean Levesque's history... but trying to find a reason for all the cast to travel to Louisiana to do it is difficult. I want to avoid contrivance... so either I will do so with one of the relationship sets (Probably Bobby and Timmy) or do it with new characters... to give a chance for something fresh. Not sure, it's a bit idle thought at the moment.
