    Chapter 13

Epilogue: The Green Valley The Harding Farm. May, 1886. The scar on the land had healed. Where the dynamite had gouged the earth a year ago, the grass was now a vibrant, defiant green, fed by the spring rains and the deep, rich soil of the valley. The stone wall had been rebuilt, the rocks fitted with a patience that spoke of permanence. The sugar maples were gone, but saplings had been planted in their place—slender whips of promise that would not yield syrup for a generation,

    Chapter 12

We can presume that the Harding Farm is somewhere on the Red line in Lanark County. I haven't figured out exactly where, I keep it nebulous Oh turns out I am wrong, they do put a train station in (it is NO LONGER there) But was during the turn of the Century 1885 onwards I guess.

    Chapter 12

you can see on this map, mill Street, where Grady's Garage, Vicker's supply and haulage, and Merrick Manor are located. Main Street where Steve and Lydia's intersection is located. the Mill Street Bridge in the middle, leading down to St. Lawrence Street, where Steve, the Slaters, and the Fraser's all live. The yellow oval would be where Levesque Hotel, Grady's gunsmiths, the Flour Power bakery, and Skate or Die... all locations in the books are.

    Chapter 7

Orel is a treat, he's eccentric, not autistic like everyone just assumes. His view on the world, on his own innate magic, and the power of wishing is earnest, earned, and a wonderfully different way of looking at the world around us. Finn's journey from tragedy, through self-destruction, to being found by his Orel, loved and healed by that is a journey. It's hard a points, but what he finds in his strange little weirdo of a husband is defiant, fierce and unrepentant love. I hope you like them, they're a powerhouse of earned love.

  18. Chapter 8: Family (The Real Kind) The envelope arrived on a Tuesday. Axl found it wedged between a pizza flyer and a bill he couldn't afford to pay, half-hidden by the stack of mail that accumulated on the kitchen table because no one ever remembered to check it. His name was printed neatly in the corner: Axl Fraser, 42 St. Lawrence Street, Merrickville, ON. The return address was the University of Ottawa. He stood in the kitchen for a long moment, holding it. Th

    Chapter 12

Chapter 12: The Iron Horse's Gamble The Spur Line. Mid-Morning. The victory in the square was a messy, loud, brawling thing, a victory of blunt force and raw courage. But the war—the quiet, calculating war of paper and legal theft—was trying to slip away on greased steel wheels. While the navvies were still securing Fenian prisoners with telegraph wire and the townsfolk moved among the wounded with buckets of snow to staunch bleeding, a distinct plume of black, oily smoke rose f
