Articleing yes, he is going to work for GS&P a job he does all the way through until he loses the job there in Carter's Fortress because he is blamed for leaking informatin to Will. He didn't but he was still embroiled in a conflict of interest. I will be writing the other side of Fortress in the future because I think there is a lot of unexplored material there, and I am liking this lost Era of Will and Andrew.
That and I want more rounds of Marc vs Andrew, those two clash so amazingly well on the page. They LOATHE each other and with good reason. It makes Marc saving Andrew in Recourse so much more powerful.
It is interesting because these techniques will help Andrew in his Legal Career as well. A lawyer that can break a man with a line of questioning in a deposition or on the stand is interesting.
I am also REALLY interested in seeing Andrew in a courtroom, I have never done it. As I am currently writing the second book of these EARLY Andrew stories. Where he works for GS&P, and CSIS it's fascinating to me to see him walking a line between the Spy and the Lawyer inside the DEN of Evil that makes Alistair Merrick's Empire tick... and how he was eventually brought down. Leading to Tarquin's rise. It's challenging as I am doing a lot of research into how he works...
The future DG has had that power, the eyes, the damn eyes!!! he peels people like onions with his diminutive, stoic presence. This is his super power, the quiet man in the interview room who is so unnaturally unnerving that it crawls through the skin. This is fourth book with him in it. He was in Recourse, (mentioned in Order), Run, and Throne. and each time he gets this moment of that mentorship and leadership. Very different from Andrew's style, but complimentary to his DDO.
Annoucing a story between this one and the next big Merrickville story
Something light and sweet surrounding the Fraser Family
About Axl and his little brother Marshall, and Marshall's secret boyfriend Aiden Slater.
ACT XI: The Quizmaster
The cedar grove smelled of damp rot and cold pine. Andrew sat in the driver’s seat of the MULE, the engine a faint tick-tick-ticking as it cooled in the late afternoon air. He wasn’t hiding. The raw, brushed-aluminum car was parked off a disused logging spur, its colour a nondescript grey against the grey-green scrub. He was a mile from the McCready woodlot, watching through a pair of Peter’s old birding binoculars.
This wasn’t espionage. It was logistics. Andre
I mean, he has just had to listen to the possible Future President of the United States, get royally rogered onboard an Aircraft Carrier in a gale... i'd be flustered to LOL
It's all about markers.
Will can't, but Biden has nothing to lose. It gives him power in his twilight, and the price he demands will be high.
I was toying, I admit, with Will saying screw it, and running to Newfoundland to become a pirate wife... but that wouldn't work.
Entertaining, he could have a parrot, and an eyepatch. Peter would complain, Endlessly... But the boys would love it, modern day Vikings...
CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: THE PRINCE OF WALES
Location: HMS Prince of Wales (R09), International Waters, North Atlantic
Time: 14:00 Hours, October 14, 2024
Status: 21 Days to Election
The Atlantic Ocean was a gray, heaving beast, indifferent to the lines drawn on maps or the desperate men flying over its surface. It was the same indifferent gray that had swallowed Andrew’s plane. The same indifferent gray that had watched Will’s country die.
Will Carter sat strapped in
This is them for the four years they are apart.
They spend two years like this, in a quasi relationship.
Then Will spends two years with Marc, healing and getting his head on straight.
He works out what Andrew knows all along... that they are JUST as you described here.
They stop denying it and find their way back to each other STRONGER than they were before the separation
You've hit on the core of it.
They are both being incredibly stupid. They are very much in love, it's that Will believes he has to do this to find himself. Something Marc helps him do. And that, ultimately, is the catalyst to get him to realize he's been an idiot. Growing up can be hard, and it takes both of them a while to do it. I like that I am now able to explore that.
Riley is the only one loved in this book, and loved in return, so yes in a way.
There is a second book, mostly written, about Riley getting his way. That one *is* a love story... just sideways and upside down across five lanes of the M25... in typical Riley fashion.
You are very right, Donny Masterson is following him, and would have most certainly seen where Andrew went in Smith Falls.
I do not think he managed to follow Andrew into Toronto, his erratic driving, the speed of the MULE would have lost him trying to go through Oshawa.
Mommy WHY is this section of the Presidential Library Age resticted to Adults Only?
Um little Timmy, President Carter was, um... very interested in debreifings
