CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE: THE LONG COUNT Location: Rideau Hall, Ottawa. The Tent Room. Time: November 5, 2024. 18:00 Hours Eastern Time. Status: Election Night. Polls Closing in One Hour. The snow had started an hour ago. Big, heavy flakes that didn't drift so much as plummet, coating the sweeping grounds of Rideau Hall in a silence so profound it felt like a physical weight pressing against the old limestone walls. It was the kind of snow that buried sound, that slowed the world to the

The story (only 8 chapters in) so far GS&P seeking to exploit Jason as leverage on those around him. Peter is amazing in it so far. Battling for his boyfriend as only he does.
-
Tarquin is 7 here, and being "Corrected" it is what shapes him into the monster he is later. The whole scene shows how utterly evil Alistair Merrick is. Tarquin was bad, but he was built to be such by his father... his father is a whole different level.

A broken law student. A traumatized teen. A high-stakes infiltration of a corrupt firm. Andrew infiltrates Gable Strathmore & Pierce to bring down the man who enabled his foster son’s abuser. But Jason is being seduced by a conversion therapist—and the firm is photographing every secret. When Andrew’s ex, Will, gets caught in the crossfire, their reunion becomes their last chance to save their found family before Merrick’s trap snaps shut.
-
Well this explains a lot:
-
Fitzy is who I find curious. Such energy about him, him and Clovis loyal to Jason and looking to right a wrong done to someone they both love (platonicaly, no Clovis/Jason shipping you lot)
-
By telling Andrew that Thomas *knew* about him and Will, he's also give the why it needs to be used. The blessing to do what has to be done. It sucks, it's an awful thing, but that's the hand that's been dealt.

I am working on the cover art for Carter's Asset the follow on book It features Jason and Peter who are both over due their own.

ACT XII: The Iron Calculus The Beretta 92FS didn’t belong in the glovebox of the MULE. It was a foreign object, a heavy, oily intrusion of black steel that seemed to pulse with a cold, malevolent frequency. Every time Andrew hit a bump on the ride back from Vicker’s Quarry, the gun shifted, the metallic clack against the plastic housing sounding like a reprimand. It was the antithesis of everything he’d spent years studying. The law was about procedure, about the containment and channeling o

That's the point, Andrew will start it. Because if he doesn't Trump will. Andrew attacks Norfolk, he is selecting Biden as his opponent. The war will be over BEFORE Trump is sworn in, the negotiation of surrender done. It denies the Day one invasion that they all know is coming. It means the loss of the Canadian flotilla, bases on Newfoundland but spares the population. It is desperate, but they're at that point now.
-
Andrew knows, if Will loses the clock begins. If the NEW President is sworn in, the attack will come. It is inevitable at that point. The only chance he has is a first Strike, he's choosing his opponent. Proportionate response vs total annihilation on January 20th at noon. Biden would select targets, mete out justice against military targets. It would give Newfoundland a chance to surrender and spare countless lives. The other option is the complete flattening of the island and total invasion. Andrew sacrificing himself, to buy a slither of a chance for the people on the Rock.

I have written a story of Will's Grandfather which I will release called: Blackwater It's not done, but I know that watch changes depending on which Person is holding it. It's a legacy of father's to sons... and I like the feel of it on the pages. What it means to each person. For Liam in 1885 it was hope. Selling it to save Anders. For Captain Carter in 1950 it's a symbol of perseverance and resistance For David in 2003/4 it was a wish that his son would forgive him For West who carried it in 2005 and gave it to Will, it was a symbol of heroism. We know Will's haunting by the thing. And Jacob, it's a symbol of a good man who loves him and raised him to be proud and defiant.
-
he was 11 in 2019 he is the oldest of the Sprogs it is October 2024 that makes him 15/16 He is ALMOST 16 as Will states : I would wait till your birthday, but... so it is a generalized age
-
It's funny that watch has taken on so much meaning. handing it to Jacob, who's next up seemed right here. Will needs to be free of the weight of it, and by handing it to Jacob the relic takes on a new meaning. For Will it's a symbol of his father... For Jacob it's a symbol of HIS father.

I'd ask you all how you'd vote:

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT: THE ELEVENTH HOUR Location: HMS Acheron (S122), Control Room. 300 feet below the surface of the North Atlantic. Time: 17:00 Zulu. November 4th, 2024. Status: Action Stations. The Night Before. The red light in the control room was the color of old blood. It bathed everything in its somber glow—the faces of young men and women who had not asked to be here, the polished steel of consoles reflecting the tense faces of their operators, the quiet hum of a reacto

Will will never know any of this. Will will go through life, being Will, warming people without meaning to, never realizing the devastation and growth and love he leaves in his wake. And Peter will never tell him. Because that's not what the star needs. The star just needs to shine because it can't be expected to love you back.
-
The implication was that there were multiple trips.
-
Articleing yes, he is going to work for GS&P a job he does all the way through until he loses the job there in Carter's Fortress because he is blamed for leaking informatin to Will. He didn't but he was still embroiled in a conflict of interest. I will be writing the other side of Fortress in the future because I think there is a lot of unexplored material there, and I am liking this lost Era of Will and Andrew. That and I want more rounds of Marc vs Andrew, those two clash so amazingly well on the page. They LOATHE each other and with good reason. It makes Marc saving Andrew in Recourse so much more powerful.
