I feel like I am bound to misery Nothing can free me No compliment can penetrate No praise can be given its proper value No touch will soothe the ache No emotion can stitch the wound No love can reach what has already been boarded up forgotten unwanted untouchable Regrets are built on the missed opportunities of another's grace. If my future is created from my history, then I look forward to more of the same. Forever alone. Even when not alone. Notice... ...an

I cannot help but stare I avert my eyes I focus on meaningless distractions But I cannot help but stare. Your beauty is unavoidable Your charm is forced upon me I try to treat you as I treat all others But I cannot help but stare. Your smile is my oxygen Your touch is my aphrodisiac Your spoken word is my angel's song Still, I cannot help but stare. If only the promise of a single kiss was real If only you returned the way I feel If only your forbidden fruit could

"A Class By Himself 19" To say that having Chris and Tanner in the same room was an awkward experience would be the understatement of the century. And yet, if I had sent him away or left him standing on my doorstep, he would have been heartbroken beyond belief. I don't know...I just...I can't bear to see him hurting like that over me. You can see it in his eyes. You can hear it in his voice. It kinda 'stings', you know? He could be a jerk when he wanted to be, but he didn't deserve tha

Saturday - I can't believe that I'm still pestering myself with this. It's been a whole day...a SATURDAY, no less...and...my mind is still driving itself crazy over getting an email from Brandon. As short as it was, I must have read it over and over at least a thousand times since then. The first 700 times were probably before I went to bed last night. What really sucks though is...well...I didn't even answer him yet. I mean, I thought about it, but I didn't. Should I, like...'talk' to him?

Friday - Trying to go to Sam's house this morning would have been pretty much pointless. I mean, he wouldn't have answered the door, even if I came knocking. Not after yesterday. I really, really, REALLY, never meant to hurt him like that. I had no idea that Joanna and Jamie were going to be right there in front of us holding hands. I didn't know he'd take it soooo hard that he'd completely shut down on me and tell me to fuck off. I swear...if I could just take back those five minutes...j

"Between The Lines 6" I sat on that couch with my arms folded. Gnashing my teeth together so hard that my gums hurt. My mind kept grinding on the facts, going in circles, finding more and more evidence to prove what a CLOWN I've been since Chris and I have been together. So many lies. So many 'tricks'. So many things done behind my back. All that time I spent trying to deny what was right in front of my face...he's been screwing around with other boys. Or at least trying to. Blaming it

"Between The Lines 5" It was an unsettling feeling. A nauseous feeling. It stayed with me for hours. I was afraid to even eat anything from the convenience store for fear that it would come back up before I even got it down. I had no idea how to actually 'break up' with someone that I had been with for this long. I mean...I remember that weird period in my life around the 6th grade where everybody kinda 'switches best friends' and starts eating at different lunch tables and stuff. But

"Untouchable 9" To see Dustin so excited was like watching a Saturday morning cartoon on triple speed. He literally started squirming in his seat the second the car started rolling forward again. He turned the music up, wiggled his cute little butt into a comfortable position in his car seat, and started patting the tops of his thighs with his palms. I don't even think he realized that he was being so visibly entertaining at that moment. He was looking out the window and smiling, no do

"Untouchable 8" Waking up the next morning was somewhat of a frightening experience. Not that I slept all that well in the first place. Usually, having Friday off from work was a pleasurable and exciting experience for me. But not today. When I opened my eyes...all I could think about was my unbelievable stupidity of my foolhardy actions...and the possible backlash it was sure to bring my way if Dustin's mother gave my late evening phone call *ANY* extra thought at all. What happ

Thursday - Arrrgh! I think I screwed up again today. And I just...I don't know what to do anymore. Every time I try to help out, I make things even worse. See...this morning, I was careful not to make the same mistake as yesterday. So the first thing I did was walk straight over to Sam's house before school and made sure that he answered the door. I'll be damned if I spend another morning tearing my hair out and having a nervous breakdown over him being depressed. As soon as he opened the

Wednesday - There sometimes is a level of confusion that is so overwhelmingly messy that you're brain just simply gives up on making sense out of it. It all just becomes this mental 'noise', spinning in circles and tossing random thoughts around without much rhyme or reason. I don't know what to think about things anymore. But...for some some reason, my heart feels good. Really good. It's the strangest feeling in the world, having my head and my heart all disconnected like this. I did

Tuesday - Hit the send button already. Just...just tap it. I can't believe that I've been sitting here for 20 minutes or more, trying to decide whether or not I wanted to send this one stupid email. I tried typing it out, I tried 'fixing' it, I tried erasing it and starting all over again from scratch...but I just didn't quite know how to say what I needed to say to Lee tonight. I'm letting my head mess me up again. Sighhh...it's exhausting to think this way sometimes. Anyway, while I'm s

Monday - Well...the big move happened sooner than I expected. I guess my dad was like...anxious to 'get rid of me' or whatever. He waited until I came home from school, but once I was home he told me to work on my homework. We had one last dinner together, and then he packed my stuff into the trunk of his car and took me home. I have to admit...I almost felt bad about saying goodbye to that harsh iron bar in the middle of that damn pull-out sofa bed. I can't even imagine how good I'm going t

It wasn't like Trevor to willingly give his concern without there being a definite reward to be taken in return. He never hides his sinister thoughts deeply enough to really consider them 'hidden' at all. In fact, I think he liked letting people catch glimpses of his darker side. It gave him an unsettling appeal sometimes. It worked to keep a person off balance. I sat in silence for a few moments, looking out at the waves in front of me. Thinking. Remembering. Suppressing, mostly. But Trevor

It's like running on a track and getting a cramp in your leg! It's like kissing some cute boy and getting your tongue caught up in his braces! It's like having your fucking car breakdown on you on an empty road in the middle of damn BLIZZARD!!! Arrrrrggghhhh!!! I swear, if I end up going to Hell when I die, I'm sure my punishment will be hours and hours of sitting in front of screen trying to battle the curse of writer's block! There's no way around it. It can be a bitch sometimes, believe me!

So, you've written out your first story, you feel good about it, and you've finally gotten up the courage to put it out there for the rest of the world to see. It's an amazing feeling, isn't it? This is, afterall, your baby! Your brainchild. The true expression of your emotions and your very soul. And all you want is a little feedback from the public to say, "Wow! We really liked what you wrote! Thanks so much! I hope to see more from you!" Sometimes, those email come to your inbox, and make you
